Kiara watched the two males leave,her heart aching at the thought of the young lioness whose life had just been taken,and turned to Bina. "Do you have any idea where those youngsters went?" she asked, "I saw Jengo a while ago,but I think he went after Isoke..I do hope they are ok."

Bina turned her head to her mother, their eyes locking in the same crimson manner. Although her mother was being more fearful of the whole situation, Bina acted like her father and showed no signs of fear. "Probably got lost somewhere" she commented, looking to where her father and the lionesses ran off to.

She looked back at her mother's expression, seeing it was dropping as she thought harder about it. "...but, you know, I guess I'll go look for them..." the princess muttered, turning foot to where she saw Jengo and Isoke run off to. It didn't take her long before she saw the male with Isoke on his back and she rose her eyebrow. "What is he trying to prove?" She muttered before racing off after them enough to not be heard nor seen and keep an eye on them. Also, she couldn't help her cat-nature when she felt a curious urge to see what they were going to talk about.

Before Kiara went to assemble the lionesses,she sat down and gazed up at the endless blue sky. Although there were no stars at this time of day,she couldn't abandon the hope of her father's spirit being there to guide her,because as he had once told her; the stars were always up there,even though they didn't always appear to. "Father.." She sighed,unable to continue,suddenly struck by an abundance of emotions she simply could not put into words. -------- Isoke opened her eyes and saw Jengo peer back at her over his shoulder. They were still moving but not as fast as before,apparently they were out of danger now,at least for the time being. She felt a surge of nausea that had nothing to do with movement,and a chill down her spine that had nothing to do with being cold. She looked at Jengo for a while and wished he could have read her mind,she knew he was wondering why she had run off instead of trying to help, but she didn't know how she could possibly explain that to him right now. Would he understand?

"Sheesh can that guy run" Bina commented when she finally stopped when they came to a halt and tried to catch her breath. Was Jengo so nervous for the safety of himself and Isoke that he had to run all the way out of the Pridelands? (They were still in the lands of her pride, but she was felt like this had been a journey across the lands). When they had finally stopped, she went behind a bush and listened to them to see if she could hear any clues about something maybe going on with Isoke.

"Isoke, are you alright? Did I hurt you?" Jengo asked.

Isoke suddenly found it somewhat difficult to look him in the eyes. This question she could answer truthfully,but she knew that she would soon have to decide whether or not to tell him about her past,which was something she had never mentioned to anyone before. "No...no,you didn't." she mumbled.

"Good! Because you had me worried that I hurt you or something" he replied, looking her over. She's really beautiful, he thought.

The male pulled his paw to her face and made her look in his eyes, "but I'm glad you're okay". He finished his comment with a smile.

Isoke smiled back at him. The way he looked at her made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside and she could no longer deny that she rather enjoyed being close to him. "Thanks for erm..helping me out." she said shyly,looking down "I was so scared." She hesitated for a few seconds before continuing, "My mother was..killed by one of those things."

Meanwhile,Kiara had assembled most of the lionesses at Pride Rock. They were all very quiet,obviously still frightened and shocked. The mother of the dead adolescent was sat in the corner,pale and absent-minded. Kiara sighed deeply and looked around. She knew she couldn't handle this on her own and was therefore waiting for Kovu,Bina and the others to show up. However,she couldn't see them anywhere,and this made her a little bit anxious.

"That's horrible" Jengo choked out, only being able to attempt to imagine the pain she must have been feeling. Jengo wasn't very well able to imagine how it felt to lose your mother in such a way since his mother was there all through his life, and he couldn't closely relate since no one in his family was dead yet. "I...I'm sorry, Isoke" he said a little above a whisper. The male was in front of her and sitting down while looking at the top of his head. And what a beautiful top of the head it was. Jengo cleared his throat and swallowed before he licked the top of her head quickly before he drew his head back and blinked, "sorry! I didn't mean t--I mean, what I was doing was--I only meant that--I mean, what I did was...sorry" he stammered.

Bina watched them and she instantly knew this was going to turn out like a romance scene and she wasn't going to stick around for that. Nor was she going to allow them to waste her time when she was trying to keep an eye on them for her mother's sake. And her father's. "Come on, you two. Let's go. Mom and dad are already scared enough and they don't want to worry about me either" she sounded, coming out from the bush.

"Princess Bina" Jengo exclaimed, his cheeks heating up. All she did was nod her head and turned for them to follow, which Jengo started to do.

They walked into the scene where all the lionesses were, and Kiara looked blank. Bina landed her ruby hues on the lioness in the corner who looked pale and sick to her stomach. How could she not? Her daughter was murdered and Bina wasn't able to do anything. All she could do was walk over, look her in the eyes and give her a hug. Upon doing that, she whispered lightly, "I'm so sorry for your loss. Kacia was a very good friend to me, and it's hard to see her pass like this. But we will do anything we can to put her to rest". With that, she let the lioness to herself and commanded attention much like Kovu did while he walked. She truly was the king's daughter, and she showed it and held it highly. Bina looked at her mother and waited for her command.

"As we all know..something dreadful has happened today." Kiara began, glancing at her daughter, "Our pride is under attack. And we don't know when,or where, these sinister creatures are going to strike next. We must be ready to fight them when they come..but how,I don't know." Here she stopped,turning to Bina. "Have you got any suggestions?" she added in a lower voice.

Bina looked from her mother to the rest of the pride. They looked like they had nothing to say other than they were scared and wanted to get as far away from this pride as they could. Could she really blame them? She was dead scared as well. Though it didn't show in any part of her body, she was just about ready to drop right there and throw her paws up in the air in defeat. But she was the princess and princesses didn't get defeated-- they defeat.

"The only thing I can suggest is that we gather more forces" she spoke slowly and lowly, not wanting to have to say what she had just said. The worst thing to do was start some sort of war. Fighting was not the way to deal with things, but these animals would kill the Pridelands if they had the chance. If Bina was going to rule one day, she would have to arrange this for other prides and other herds of animals. Not to mention, if she wanted to rule these lands one day, there would have to be a land to rule and she intended to keep her claws sunken into the vast amount of territory her family was already lucky to possess.

She looked at her mother, awaiting further instructions.
