She shook him off her head and curled up in a ball.
"I belive she must have a phobia of lightning, I read about it in a book once." Francis said. "We can't move until the lightning goes away I guess..."

"Alright." he replied, Zill turned to Max again. "Hey... maybe once the lightning stops we could... I don't know..." What Zill was about to say went against everything he stood for,"take a..." He dreaded the last two words. "mud bath?" he said atempting to get her to smile a little.

[Fang]

"Oh great" Francis muttered.
Max looked up but hid her face as lightning clashed the skys. "Why won't it stop?" She muttered her voice shaking.

Zill sighed and layed his head down, well I tried. he thought.

[Fang]

Nuka watched the lightning and shook the rain out of his face.
"Max must be scared out of her wits, she hates lightning." He muttered.
"This way." Chester said, Nuka followed and soon could scent Max, Zill, and a few other things. He padded forward and found Max huddled in a small ball shaking, Zill with his head down, a cat watching them, and a small bird.
"Max!" Nuka said running up.
Max looked up slightly.
"Nuka?" she asked. A jolt of lightning stabbed the sky and she looked away.

"Nuka!" Zill shouted, happy to finally see another familiar face.

[Fang]

Nuka smiled "Long time no see you grumpy fur ball." He said, he padded over to Max and layed down next to her.
"Why is no one trying to comfort her?" He demanded.

Zill rolled his eyes at both of Nuka's comments. "I tried that, didn't work." Zill then raised his head and turned to Nuka really fast, "I even said I'D play in the mud with her." He sighed, and lowered his head again.

"I tried too." Petrie added. "then she shook me off her head and now I'm covered in mud."

[Fang]

Nuka lowered his eyes "You haven't comforted anyone before have you?" He asked. He laid his head on her head "No worries Max! The lightning is going to go away, you just need to show it your not scared of it! Come on! Your not scared are you Max?"
Max looked up at Nuka then to her other friends. "No..." She mutted
"What was that?" He asked "Let me hear you say it!"
"NO!" Max said jumping up to her feet.

Zill smiled when he saw Max finally say something, but in the back of his mind he felt bad. for not being able to cheer her up and for what Nuka said to him, his past tried to come back out but he ignored it.

Petrie flew up and around Max. "I can't hear you!"
