What I don't get is that if those animals could band together like that and essentially make a lion run in fear then why don't they all get together and stop bowing down to the lions? Why do they live under their rule? Also, why are there no other male lions? Why are no other main predatory animals shown in the Pridelands? The Pridelands are starting to sound really like a dictatorship to me now that I'm thinking about it.

I think some of the animals in the "One of Us" scene were kinda useless because when kovu runs past the line of ostriches, some just stand there

I think the reason for there not being many male lions is from real life, in real life male lions don't get along very well and usually try to dominate each other and sometimes even kill each other because of it.

The past is a gaping hole. You try to run from it, but the more you run, the deeper it grows behind you, its edges yawning at your heels. Your only chance is to turn around and face it. But it's like looking down into the grave of your love, or kissing the mouth of a gun, a bullet trembling in its dark nest, ready to blow your head off.

yeah, but he still didn't trust him.. He just lightened up at the thought of his wife thinking good things about kovu (not in the perverted way. perverts)... But she thought he was cool so simba was like "alright, if Nala's ok with it."
