Closed (VM and Sno): Something Wicked This Way Comes For....

Kemmy stood up and looked at Simba. It seems Brad doesn't approve of our noisy sleeping habits. she said, glancing toward the opening of the den where Brad had left. And he thinks it's funny to make disrespectful remarks as well after his outburst. Kemmy waited for Simba's reply anxiously. She was beginning to get very annoyed with this new lion, who apparently had behavioral habits of a completely different creature. Why, she didn't know but she wasn't in much of a mood to care to find out. She would rather he be exiled.

Brad kept waiting outside the den knowing that tattletale Kemmy was telling on him as usual. It seemed that was her job...to be the group's tattletale. Oh well it wasn't like he wasn't going to lose sleep over it. He quickly hunkered back to what sleep he was enjoying.

Simba sighed and said, "I see well I guess I should have made him stay outside in the first place. It was my fault not his." He went back and laid down to show he was ready to sleep himself. Brad looked at Kemmy again laughing it up.

Kemmy laid down, ignoring Brad. She knew that if she showed annoyance, he would enjoy it greatly. Facing away from him, she fell into a deep sleep once again. She dreampt that she was being held by the lion of her dreams. The two were madly in love, hugging tightly and nuzzling each other happily, a litter of cubs running around at their paws. She looked up and, horrified, saw Brad staring at her with an evil grin on his face. She tried to escape, but Pride Rock turned into something of a treadmill under her paws. No matter which way she ran, she stayed with Brad and the cubs she had had with him. She sat straight up and screamed as loud as her lungs would allow, then stopped abruptly and embarrassedly as she woke up screaming, waking up the entire Pride at sunrise.

Brad woke up from the screaming obviously annoyed. "Stupid lioness. Keep your nightmares to yourself." Simba meanwhile came over to Kemmy and asked, "Kemmy are you okay? You gave us quite a fright there." Everyone was around Kemmy except Brad who showed little concern was trying to fall asleep again. Kiara looked over and said, "Did you have a bad dream Kemmy? Do you want to talk about it?" After no answer everyone assumed she did not. Simba looked at Kemmy and said, "Do you feel safe sleeping alone now? I could ask Brad to come and try to help you sleep." Simba looked away obviously not knowing that the bad dream was about Brad. Simba obviously felt he could just trust this new lion no matter what. Brad meanwhile started to snore himself finally getting some sleep.

Kemmy sighed, and scoffed at the mention of Brad helping her sleep. That stupid lion was causing her nothing but trouble since his arrival. She took Kiara's offer and asked if she would accompany her on a short walk. Hardly wanting to go back to sleep again and return to more nightmares about Brad, she stood up and waited for Kiara's reply. How Simba could trust Brad after all his snide remarks was beyond Kemmy for the moment. She was even becoming annoyed with Simba for allowing this to go on, but kept that little thought to herself.

Kiara motioned for Kemmy to start walking with her. "Well this is a nice thing to do right?" She kept unnaturally quiet for a while waiting for Kemmy to start to be okay and calm down a little bit. "So...what was the nightmare about you had? You know uh...talking about it usually makes it feel better." She gulped at those words hoping Kemmy would not be angry. She noticed that Kemmy seemed uncomfortable around Brad since he had arrived so asked her, "Was the bad dream about the newcomer? Do you have bad feelings around him? Do you think he is dangerous?" She waited for Kemmy to grasp all of her questions for a bit and then answer them. She waited patiently.

Kemmy made an angry face at Brad's mention. Yes, it was about Brad. I hate him. He's rude, inconsiderate, and there's nothing good about him; Simba lets him stay and acts as if that's all fine! I can't believe this is going on! And then Brad laughs at me. He's not worthy of the Pridelands. I've even heard rumors that he had something to do with the dead lion out near the border. I don't like him at all. He ought to be exiled for disrespect if nothing else. I don't want to have to deal with him any longer. But yes, my dream was about him. I dreampt I'd been mated to him...

Kiara was shocked at what Kemmy had dreamed about. "Oh you dreamed...that." She paused and said, "Do you think he killed that lion out there Kemmy? But that makes no sense though since a human killed that lion. How could Brad had done that?" She looked away and said, "We all have to respect my father's decisions Kemmy no matter what they are." She looked at Kemmy and smiled, "The way you two argue everyone could confuse you two for mates so I wouldn't argue with him so much." She tried to make the last part humurous so she hoped Kemmy would not get angry by what she said. She sighed and said, "You might as well ignore him until he leaves."

Kemmy sighed as well. That's just it, Kiara... I don't see him ever leaving. A place like this, where he can have everything he'll ever need and the King on his side over a lioness who has been in the Pride longer than him... Why would he leave? And I don't know about the dead lion. That's only a feeling and I'm sure it'll pass... but... Kemmy had an idea. What if we took him to see that dead lion... see what he does? What better test than that?

Kiara nodded and said, "Yeah you might be right about him not leaving. But I mean would he just stay here forever?" Kiara nodded and said, "Well Kemmy I doubt he would just go with us to see the body. You might have to find a creative way to get him to go there." She sighed and looked at Kemmy, "Are you sure you aren't the one getting a little uncomfortable around HIM? I mean his attitute isn't that bad right?" She looked away uncertain if Kemmy would get angry.
