I had a very close call today. Me and Ned (lighter brown horse) were behind Jade and Archie. We'd just gone around a corner, when a massive landrover sped around the corner.
I turned because of the roar of the engine, to see it was heading straight for us!!!
Luckily, Ned is a very twitchy and responsive horse, so I yanked his reins (sorry Ned) to the side and he jumped over...even though I had taken this evasive action, the car was about 3inches from his hind legs.
They didn't bother to slow down and even nearly crashed into 2 cars coming the other way!!
I'm so glad these horses are calm in traffic, or it might have been fatal.
PLEASE drivers, think about horses and riders. Remember, if the rider is a jerk, don't take it out on the horse.
I would like to thank the woman who turned off her engine (and all who do the same) when she saw Ned was distressed at something!
Thank you
