It was 3 years later, Kokota and Chissa had become young adult lions. We revisit them in a brand new morning...

Kokota opened his eyes slowly. The den was just like it had been a few years ago. Not much had changed except for he and Chissa. Kovu and Kiara were still sleeping. He shook his head and yawned. Kokota's mane was coming in, a small patch of black fur was growing on his chest, and a black tuft of hair was growing on his head. His fur was the same old brownish gold. He looked around the den again, Chissa was silently snoozing...

Chissa opened her eyes too.It was beautiful morning.She's young adult lioness now,and her mother,Vitani,always loved to tell Chissa how beautiful lioness she is now.Of course,Chissa laughed when she heard those words,but not only Vitani said that to her.Everybody around saying the same.She came to be bit proud of herself,but...still friendly and great lioness,as she was before...
Now she looked around the cave.Everyone were still sleeping,only Kokota not.She whispered to him quietly"Good morning,Kokota.Beautiful morning,isn't it?Want to go walk around the PrideLands?"she asked when she finally,but really quietly walked up to him.
Vitani was not sleeping.She act like she was sleeping to not show that to Chissa.But she heard how Chissa and Kokota woke up.She smiled then started to sleep again.

[Moka]

"Good morning," Kokota said, "I'd love to." They exited the cave and started to walk down the pathway. "It really is pretty today." he said, looking around.

[Panda-chan]

Kiara woke up and yawned. She looked around, then noticed that Chissa and Kokota weren't there. Probably out for a morning stroll, she told herself. She used to do that a lot when she was their age. She got up and started licking herself from head to foot.

"Yeah...Beautiful."Chissa said and started to not to walk,but run around.She loved to run at mornings what are beautiful like this one.She looked back at Kokota."C'mon!Don't act lazy!"she shouted and laughed.

[Moka]

Kokota stretched his muscles and ran after her, laughing just as much as she did. He couldn't believe how much fun it was to be with her. Ever since they were cubs they had been best friends.

Chissa suddenly turned around,jumped,and pinned him to the ground."Gotcha!"she shouted and laughed.Then layed down and nuzzled him.

After Kiara was done grooming herself, she walked to the entrance of Pride Rock and sat down. In the distance she could see Kokota and Chissa pinning each other and laughing. She couldn't help grinning. She and Kovu used to be exactly like that when they were their age. But now they were too old for such games...
Kiara sighed and walked down the huge rock. She needed catch some prey for the rest of the pride.

Kokota laughed and rolled over. He wrestled out of Chissa's pin. "Isn't today the day you go hunting with your mom and Queen Kiara?" he asked.
