Nala grinned at Marini. "I like your style!" she said as the two of them made their way back down Pride Rock. "Poor Tanga...he's going to be completely paranoid by this evening!" her voice indicated very little pity as she thought of all the fun the three of them were going to have. It technically wasn't fair that the three of them were ganging up to tease and torment the small, weak and quiet one of the group...but Nala was smiling and laughing too much to care at the moment.
Besides, she thought, it'll all be worth it for them, once they get together. She glanced at Marini, thinking about how she would be with Tanga. Yes...they'd be perfect for each other.

Sarabi stifled a yawn as she woke up, finding herself on her own in a corner of Pride Rock's main den. While she had, for the most part, adjusted to Mufasa's death in the last month, she was finding that she did not feel right without his presence by her side in the mornings.
Deciding not to think on it, knowing it would just make her depressed, she got to her feet, noticing Simba was nowhere to be seen. "Always an early riser," she mumbled to herself as she stretched, before making her way towards the mouth of the den. she stopped, however, when she saw Simba, Tanga, Nala and Marini together, talking about something. Curious as to what the group of young adolescents were up to, she decided to hang back and listen in, just in case they were planning something reckless...which, knowing Simba and Nala, they were.

Tanga made his way back up to the main part of Pride Rock, Simba right with him, just as Nala and Marini got back from their trip to the peak. As Tanga laid eyes on Marini he hid his face, his nervousness returning in full force as he remembered this morning's events. Does she know? Did Nala see me and tell her?
"Hi, girls," he managed to greet with most of his usual happiness. "What were you doing up at the Peak?" he asked, even if he was scared of what the answer might be.
