Simba`s Talk With Kiara

I thought it was sweet! Simba is just trying to be like his father, but something he tries to hard.

He spoils his child, he said like 2 angry sentences then pushes her off a rock and starts an encouraging song, way to go Simba, worst parenting ever.

I know, right? He gave her a stern look, and that was pretty much it. He didn`t even sound angry or upset or anything, eventhough his only (and highly beloved) cub had been in mortal danger ten minutes earlier.

And what is that smile about? Is he trying to tell her that deliberately disobeying him is ok? He didn't even respond to her comment about not trying to disobey him!

I know!! I mean, it`s not that I would WANT Simba to freak out and yell and get all scary, I just feel as though his talk with his daughter was not serious at all. Kiara learned nothing from it.

And I hate that he completly ignores Kiaras attempt to explain, he just cuts her off when she says "I didn`t mean to disobey" I would have loved to hear what she was going to say, perhaps she was going to explain how she feels about Simba being so over-protective...?

I just feel like Simba takes it very lightly, and that`s odd and confusing considering how protective he is, logic dictates he would be angry and upset.

And then he begins that song and the only thing he can do to aid her in her concerns is to give her a comforting glance! She is worried about losing herself to her job and he doesn't seem to be listening!

Yeah. I feel like Simba never listens to her daughter. I feel so sorry for Kiara sometimes.

And We Are One is love, but the dialouge leading up to it is a bit strange and slightly annoying, lol.

there is very little to bridge his poor argument and the song, the only thing that makes up for it is how good the song is.
