Garo walked up to him again, "She's not taking orders from you." he then walked around and helped Geno up, "and we're going home if you don't mind. Oh wait, I don't care if you mind." He then looked at Geno and Gurri, "Come on, let's get out of here."

The mean fawn laughed and said, "Just remember every time you go out on the meadow you will see me!" He said to Gurri, "Don't you ever wonder about the secrets of your parents?" Gurri stopped and told Garo, "Wait. What do you mean?" The mean fawn laughed. "Your father and Ronno were cowards. Your mother only liked the 'Great Prince' because she felt bad for him." He looked at Garo, "The same for your mother."

Garo knocked the fawn over again. "I said get out of our sight. Things are hard enough without you and your pathetic lies."

The mean fawn laughed and said, "Well fine if they are lies then go ask them. When I return you can tell me if they were lies or not. Certainly since what I said are 'lies' you won't be afraid to ask." He laughed and retreated to the forest letting them dwell on that. The three fawns went back into the forest and Gurri asked Garo, "Are you going to ask your parents?"

"No." Garo said simply. "I don't believe what he just said. A few days ago your father risked his life trying to save me when man came." he said with a sigh, "if that's being a coward then no one in this world is brave."

Gurri nodded but was still curious of such sayings the mean fawn had given to them. Once she saw they were close to Garo's parents she said, "Bye Garo I hope to see you soon." She then headed with Geno back to their parents.

"Bye Gurri." Garo said and walked over to his parents. "Hey dad, guess what!" he said excited

Geno looked at his sister as they walked, "You don't believe that jerk do you?" he asked noticing her expression

Gurri shook her head no. "No Geno." She walked back to her father and mother. "Guess what happened Mother?" Faline looked at her and said, "What?"

Ronno sighed and said, "What you little jerk."

Geno looked at his sister confused, wondering what was she talking about.

Garo backed a little, his excitement fading away as his father talked to him the way he did. He remembered the way the other fawn talked about that, but tried to hold back his tears. "Faline came back, she said man helped her." Garo said, but before Ronno said anything, he asked another question. "Dad, do you hate me?" he asked trying not to cry

Ronno looked at him and said, "What?! When!" He then heard his son's question and he calmly answered, "No now stop crying like a baby."

Gurri said, "Well uh...nevermind." She looked at Bambi. "Dad is it true you ran away from Ronno when he tried to fight you." Faline looked shocked. "Where did you hear that?!" Gurri said, "Well I heard it from a...source." She looked at her dad and said, "Uh is it true that you were scared when you grew up?"
