Fed up with Timon constantly using her title when adressing her, Kiara says: "I’m not just a Princess you know! That’s only half of who I am." Curious, Pumbaa enquires: "What’s the other half?" A question Kiara is not able to answer at that time.
One thing I find interesting is what they say in the Norwegian version. Kiara: "I am not just Princess, you know. That is only half of me!" Pumbaa: "Where is the other half?"
I always used to think that Kiara meant her title as Princess was only half of who she was. One side of her is the Princess, the other side is the little cub who just wants to have fun. I always thought Kiara was sick of Timon not seeming able to look past her title and see the person behind it.
Later in the movie, when Kiara is grown up, has fallen in love with Kovu and is searching for him after his exile.. we only see half her reflection. Kiara looks at her own reflection twice before and during Love Will Find A Way, both times only half of her reflection is clearly shown.
Also, in the Danish version of LWFAW, Kovu sings "Living without you is only living a half life."
After LWFAW, Kiara and Kovu sits close together next to a pond, and Kovu spots their merged reflection in the water, saying: "Look, we are one." We all know the expression "my better/other half," used about ones spouse, right? Kovu is Kiaras better/other half, they’re simply not whole without eachother.
