[PRIVATE] Taming the Lioness's Heart

Marjani looked and hoped Ekwu would be alright. She looked toward the lands before her and saw nothing but grassland and trees. She looked toward the land knowing that it would be hard surviving by yourself out there. That made her even more nervous.

Nemu came before Adeola and said, "I promise to help find Ekwu Adeola okay?" She sighed knowing Adeola did not trust her. "I know you hate me but you must understand I only wanted what was best for your grandson and my daughter." She looked at her imploringly. "Will you trust me enough to help me with the search to find Ekwu?"

Ekwu fought back tears. "You left me! You gave me nothing! I am nothing! I...Mzuri...Mother please say something!" He cursed knowing no one would answer but he was at least hoping someone would so that he may finally feel comfort.

VitanisMate: Lesedi perked her head at the roar, and she looked back at Duna to see he did the same. Never having met Adeola, he had an image of her being a scary lioness to mess with if you got on the wrong paw with her. So he made a mental note to remember his manners and suck up as much as he could without looking like he was trying too hard.

Adeola came down from the hill she roared from and looked at everyone, noticing Duna was new but ignored him none the less. She looked back at Nemu, "you're right; I don't trust you. So you better prove yourself to me during this search". She sounded like the leader she was and a strong one too. The golden lioness looked over the group, seeing her brother was coming to look as well, and seeing no Kalaiba. "Where is that boy?"

Lesedi looked around and saw him no where. "Who knows" she replied.

Kalaiba was over in the den sleeping peacefully knowing it would be better that he did not try to help. He knew anyway that they would find Ekwu anyway. He slept peacefully having a good dream and knew nothing would ever upset him. He knew Adeola would be angry when she found him but he was peaceful knowing that he was at least peaceful now.

Nemu sighed and nodded willing to help find Ekwu and started looking around the lands.

Ekwu sighed and stopped looking at the sky. He decided to go back to the pride. He saw the group in the distance seeing them looking in the wrong direction. He sighed knowing that Adeola would be mad for him running away. "Hello everyone!" He came up behind them saying nothing and looked toward Adeola and said, "Adeola Mzuri cares nothing for me. She does not love me."

VitanisMate: Adeola turned her head to look ahead once more, but saw the familiar presence of Ekwu once more. She watched him come up, her face showing her obvious displeasure with him. But when he spoke about his own mother not loving him, she had had enough. She couldn't find the words to say; the thoughts to think; the voice to scream; the tears to cry--everything was blank in her right now. All she knew is, there was no other emotion towards him right now other than fury.

The lioness walked past him, and left the others behind her. Her vibe she was sending out was that of a furious, and intimidating lioness, making Duna back up a little. Lesedi watched her mother walk off and looked at Ekwu with a frown. "You're a real piece of work" she spat out, walking past him, not in the direction of Adeola but in another, where Duna followed to try and calm the light lioness down. All that was left in the group was Neobi and Ekwu with his mate. Neobi sighed out, and looked down at Ekwu. He couldn't even find the words himself to say, and he usually had something to say all the time. But he knew it was bad this time, so he walked away letting the mates converse about the events that passed.

Ekwu looked at Marjani and Marjani looked away saying, "You shouldn't have worried me like that!" She walked away as well and he sighed knowing that he was the most hated of the bunch right now. He knew he had to feel bad but...wait feel bad. No he would act like Kalaiba and made sure he was to be hated. He looked at himself, tears again fighting to come out and looked again at the sky. "So what do you think of that Mzuri?! Do you like that! I will definitely follow in my father's footsteps now!" He looked away still frozen to the spot and did not even acknowledge Nemu there. He looked away again seeing the faces of his...family. No they did not want to see him. Not now. He looked angry in the face and looked toward the horizon. He saw the outline of what he thought was his father. He smiled cruelly and looked toward the foolish lionesses walk away. Turning their backs on him. Never wise. Now he knew his true purpose. He was not to follow in his mother's footsteps but his father's. He looked toward all of the lionesses thinking of a plan to lure them to an old place to remember. He knew of the story of the waterfall and thought that was the perfect place to finish what his father started.

VitanisMate: "Lesedi, wait up" Duna called out to her. Lesedi, still angry, looked back at the male and looked away.

"If you're going to try to make me feel better, nothing is going to work, Duna" she replied. Lesedi came to a stop and sat down, him soon following the same course of action and sitting down with her.

"Look. I know you're frustrated, and I can't blame you. But Ekwu looks fine".

"He might be fine on the outside, but on the inside he's got some work" Lesedi practically yelled, making Duna look in shock at her. "He left Marjani to worry about him, Adeola included. He thinks everything is his business so he can put himself in it, he is always complaining that things aren't going his way when he doesn't do a single thing to try and make it so that something could work out for him, and on top of all that, he doesn't understand anything about anything!" She shook her head in frustration, "can't believe I loved him..." Duna brought his head up.

"You liked Ekwu?" He asked, interested that she would say things like that about him and she still none the less, had feelings for him at one point.

"Loved. And for some reason, yes I did". She sighed out, and looked forward.

"You know you don't mean that. Even though he gets on your nerves sometimes, you still love him" Duna replied, nudging her lightly with his shoulder.

The lioness sighed out and nodded lightly, "only like a brother or a friend, I guess". Duna smiled down at her and she reciprocated.

Ekwu came toward Adeola and Marjani who he saw as a cub. "Hello I humbly ask that I come to the pride if that is no trouble." He thought to himself, Wow these buffoons should be easy to con. A female and a cub, simple. He then thought to himself of his plan. He decided that he would try to con these lions by getting close to them maybe even saving the female or cub's life.

He looked at the cub and sighed. He thought to himself, Oh man I hate cubs. They are so annoying, tedious, they take up your time, and they smell. He was thinking about saying something mean to this cub but thought better of it. The last thing he needed was to be kicked out of the pride by saying something to the cub. However the more the cub played the more annoying she was. He just couldn't take it any longer. He tried to take his mind off of it still waiting for the feamle to answer. But eventually he could just not hel himself and smiled sinisterly. He just could not wait for this. He was divided on what to say but said it anyway.

"Hey little pipsqeuk shut up!"

He laughed but then realized what he did. "Uh sorry about that. Please ignore me. I am just not good around kids." He cursed knowing that his chances now of getting into the pride were slim. He tried to bow and said, "I promise to check my behavior from now on. I just do not like cubs like I said." He looked back at the cub and begrudgingly said, "Sorry cubby for my behavior."

VitanisMate: Adeola, still in a different frame of mind, turned her body, slapping her paw across him and sending him back and away from the two of them. Once that was finished, she walked up to him and pushed him down to the ground showing her dominant position in the Pridelands and walked past him.

"Your father wouldn't even be proud of you" she hissed, walking back to her den with Marjani.

"Adeola?" He looked at her saying, "What is happening to me?" He looked at them and said, "What is going on? What happened?" He looked confused obviously not realizing what he just said. "Adeola I am sorry for what happened." He looked at them and said, "Please forgive me but I had to find my mother and father and I did not fine them.

Marjani look at him very concerned with him saying things that didn't make much sense together.

"Yes, and it's a pleasure to meet you, and can I say you truly have an amazing daughter!" Naki said. As Zuri turned, Naki blushed, and smirked, turning to his mate. "Well that was intresting" he said with a small laugh, licking Adeolas cheek. Thinkin he heard a sound, but finding himself paranoid from being a rouge for so long he spoke again, "So is there'd anyone else to meet."
