Brad: VM- A lion poacher desperate for the biggest hunt of his life. He will soon see how his actions causes tragedy

Setting: Set after SP this will take place in Africa set during the present where a poacher discovers how his actions hurt many different people or I should say lions. He will go through many trials to find out how. This will take place in and near the Pridelands and will involve the LK characters.

A poacher emerged on the horizons during sunrise. Ready to kill and to have fun Brad came looking for big game. He loved hunting and it was he was fulfilling the passion of his life right now. He set out amongst the trees waiting for some kind of beast to emerge. He saw antelope, zebra and water buffalo but no sign of the game he was looking for which was a lion. He waited for what seemed like hours and then he heard something. It was just another meerkat. At this rate I should shoot one by next year! He groaned knowing lions were pretty scarce around here,. He would be surprised if he saw one at all. He waited still clutching his rifle and wating to see the look on the animal's face when he took his life away. He definitely enjoyed the moment of that.

It was then he saw a lion coming toward him and he smiled. It was a male and a big one at that. "Foolish animals they should as well not walk the earth for their stupidity." He smiled and clutched his rifle. He steadied the aim by not shaking and took the shot. However that did not kill the animal and it came right before him. He quickly reloaded and tried again. "Blasted mongrel beast." He shot it again this time killing it. It was inches from killing him. He laughed knowing that beast would be made into a mighty fine rug someday. He came forward and collected the bullets from the animal's body. he looked at the animal's shocked face and said, "That is right you dirty beast I bet you were surprised I killed you!" He looked down and prepared to drag it if need be. He looked ahead wondering what felt so strange.

However soon he felt even more strange after dragging the massive beast. He felt like his hair was getting longer and he lost his balance. He then noticed hair everywhere! He looked through the reflection of his scope and saw he was one of those dirty, foul beasts! "NO! NO! NO!" He ran through the plains until he fell down obviously not too good at running like a lion. He paused knowing that someone could be following him. He looked back and saw no one. He sighed and looked in to his own eyes noticing the different eye color than before. He shaked his head and said, "This is a curse for me! I cannot stand being this infernal beast! This vile beast!" He looked away seeing as he was alone. He saw the barren wasteland before him and kept going. It was not long before he passed out out in the African savannah.

He soon came to but was in need of water if he needed to go on. His belly ached as well. "NO! NO! I will not be like those sick beasts and eat pure flesh! That is disgusting!" He got up and continued on curious of any creatues here. "Oh no one lives here it is just a barren wasteland! I shall go the other way! Through another way shall I find my place back home." He kept going but he did not last long in that searing African sun with no food and water. He soon fainted muttering many things. "Uh...I killed you! I killed you! What do you think of that!" "You imbecile beast charging at me like that! What were you thinking?" "I shall have my revenge on a lion soon enough!" He then thought he saw something. He looked and thought he saw a lion approach or more accurately a lioness. He knew animals like that were dangerous.

The lioness Brad saw was Kemmy, a sweet, gentle lioness of the Pridelands who was walking happily after a nap by the waterhole. She was wary of strange things around; she had smelled the smell of gasoline from Brad's hunting truck, and seen his footprints. Little did she know this was Brad, but she was quite on edge about him because of his strange smell and behavior.

Monster? she said offendedly. What's wrong with you? Are you ok? she cautiously approached, her paws landing silently with each step toward the strange lion. His smell reminded her of the truck, but she pushed that thought aside. You don't look so good. Need a drink? she asked sweetly, thinking that his strange behavior was coming from his obvious deprivation of sustenance.

Brad saw the lioness and looked at her. He was scared to death of her knowing a lioness like that would rip him apart for coming across her territory or coming near her cubs. "Uh no don't hurt me! I was just leaving your territory okay?" He backed up truly terrified of the lioness. "Why are you not scared of me? Don't you know who I am?" He looked quizzically at her wondering what she thought of him. She didn't seem scared of him at all. Then he started to remember his transformation and looked at her even more surprised. "Uh you think I am a lion just like you?" He looked curiously wondering what she would do next. He hoped his story to her was convincing enough. He looked even more closely and noticed she was alone. "Are you crazy? Do you wander alone or something?"

He noticed she asked another question and tried to look as normal as possible or at least in the lion's sense of normal. "Uh yes I am fine I uh...just thought you were a human trying to kill me. Yeah that. So now that I see you are a lioness who will not kill me I am fine now." He knew that story was unbelievable but he hoped the lioness would buy that story. He looked and asked wondering, "Are there any uh male lions around here. I mean they might want to kill me over territory rights so I am just asking." He looked worried knowing in his condition that a huge lion could kill him instantly and ask questions later. He knew though from his studies on lions that this female here would not try to kill him as long as he acted normal and did not threaten her so he felt kinda safe.

He also hoped that the lioness was not in the heat so that she would not try to make advances on him as they are looking for mates during that time. The thought of that lioness wanting to flirt with him made him sick and made his skin crawl. He looked at her and noticed she asked if he was thirsty. He looked the most hopeful in his life and said, "Why yes I am about to die of thirst here. I left my water...I mean yes if there is water around I would be most glad that you show me the way." He smiled trying to show that he was friendly. He saw her still stay there and he tried to sound in a hurry. "Look I need to drink please. I have not in a few hours and I cannot last much longer." He stuck out his tongue to show that he was in a hurry and he needed some water. "Please help me with this task. I have no one."

He started along the journey with her and decided to bring up an easy topic to discuss. "Uh what was your chi...cubhood like? I mean was it good or bad?" He looked wondering why he even brought that up. The dumb animal probably had no idea what he was saying. He then said, "Also what brings you to a remote piece of land like this place I mean don't you know this is the perfect place for people to shoot animals like you. Are you really that stupid?" He was not surprised if she was for animals in the past have shown to be very stupid. He looked at her and sighed wondering what could be going on throught the poor, dumb animal's mind. "I know this is a little hard for you to understand but I am from far away and I uh...know nothing of this place okay so I will uh...need your help maybe."

He looked at her again. "I need your help!"

Kemmy, watching and listening to the strange lion's constant nervous rambling, made a face as if asking "WTF?" but kept her muzzle shut as he continued to speak. He was obviously in distress and she did her best to act nice. Settle down! she said. It's safe here. There's only been one hunter in the history of this place and that was very long ago. And... I won't hurt you. Follow me, I'll take you to the water hole. she began leading the strange lion. Soon he asked about her cubhood, almost saying "childhood." This was really confusing her, and brought back some bad memories. She glanced at her scars and replied, It wasn't good. in a grave tone of voice.

Changing the subject, she thought of when the lion said he was from far away. What are you doing here? she asked.

The lion looked at the lioness seeing she was obviously confused by his ramblings. He stopped embarassed with himself. No wait a minute why was he embarassed with himself? Why did he even care what this lioness thought of him. He really could not care. But then again did he care? I mean why was he caring now about how he acted around this savage beast. He came to the startling conclusion that for some reason he was trying to impress her. He was really scared of that thought and got rid of it. He said to her a little angrily, "Well how would you feel if you were out here about to die of thirst?!" He calmed down and looked away from her. He promised that he would not get angry like that again and continued looking away toward the savannah watching the sun move across the sky.

He nodded and followed her to the water hole. Seeing pure fresh water he instantly tried to fish it out like a person. It would not work so he tried to lap it up tothe best of his observation of cats lapping up water. He saw her watching him and told her, "I wonder if you like other lions staring at you while you drink water?" He groaned and gave her a clue to look away. Though she was harmless this new lioness was very annoying in his opinion on hiow she kept asking of his behavior. He hoped she was not that sharp or inquisitive to find out the truth but considering she was a dumb animal he sincerely doubted it. He finished drinking the water and looked up at her wondering why she was helping him. He was pretty forceful and mean in his behavior so far and he was also distrustful of her.

He then heard about her awful cubhood. He briefly saw the scars and looked away. He had a hard time imagining what that felt like. He doubted this lioness ever knew someone that really loved her. Though that was to be expected for the animals were pretty harsh on how they raised their young. There was a reason it was called 'survivial of the fittest' after all. He looked toward her trying to find some words of pity for her. "Uh I am sorry about asking that question. It was not right for me to ask. Though I may have guessed from those awful wounds all over you." He realized what he said and took it back. "I mean I apologize for what I said." Why he cared what this lioness thought of his words was beyond him but he did. He gave her an appreciating nod trying to show he understood her pain.

He looked at her again noticing that she was asking what he was doing here. "Well I uh travelled a long way to uh...hunt yeah hunt." He looked at her again wondering if she had a pride they could go to. "Uh do you belong to a pride or are you a rogue? I mean I would like to go there as long as those lions are friendly." He tried to show he was sincere. He looked at her and said, "You see I am lost and any directions to help me would be greatly appreciated okay?" He sighed knowing she probably had dufficulty grasping what he was saying. Well that is what you get for trying to get directions from creatures whose brains are 100 times smaller than yours. He sighed saying to her, "Well if you are ready I would be interested on hearing of some more stories." He sighed knowing that did not come out right.

He paused. "To pass the time of course."

The lioness giggled a bit. Brad seemed quite odd to her but in no way dangerous. Hehe, I'd love to introduce you to my pride. Perhaps you could stay here. No better place for lions, if you ask me. she said. Finishing the business at the waterhole, Kemmy smiled and began to lead Brad to her pride. Follow me, she said, wouldn't want you getting lost. She walked slowly and in a relaxed fashion, toward a huge, tall rock in the distance. So tell me, where did you come from? Seems you're quite different than any lion I've ever seen around here.

Far off, on Pride Rock, Sarafina and Vitani were watching from the end of the rock. They couldn't tell what was being said, but they could see that Brad was new. Vitani rose to her paws and walked to Simba. King, she said respectfully, It seems we are to have a visitor. She pointed out in the direction of Kemmy and Brad.

Simba saw Vitani come toward him. "A stranger here?" He sighed and said, "Well we might as well meet him." He found everyone else in the den and said, "A new guest has arrived." Everyone followed Simba to meet this new guest. Several thoughts flowed through Simba's head. What was this guest doing here? Why would he be coming here? More importantly why had Kemmy brought this new lion here. He looked toward the new lion and saw the look on his face. He sighed knowing that a bad attitude was a bad first impression. He looked toward Kemmy and sighed as well but she did not notice. "Hello. Welcome stranger to the Pridelands. What is your business here?"

Brad looked at her. "Where I come from is of no importance okay?" He hoped she would leave it at that. She started laughing which was annoying to him to say the least. "If you would be so kind maybe you could stop that annoying racket?!" He saw a huge rock in the distance wondering what this rock could mean or be. He looked toward Kemmy and said, "A rock fit for a King eh?" He went toward the rock gulping as he was expecting to see more lionesses. He looked toward the king seeing a massive lion. What a massive trophy that lion would bring! He sighed and looked at him noticing everyone else was being respectful to him. Ha kings were long gone from his country and he wasn't going to be beow anyone here. Everyone looked at him expecting to bow to this runt. "Nope sorry I don't plan on making myself lower than anyone here. Where I come from kings are frowned upon and in fact one was forcifully removed." He smiled at that seeing the fools shocked.

The other lions stared at Brad in awe, and Kemmy looked at him with a scowl. She leaned toward him and whispered in his ear, Those who disrespect our king are often exiled. Do you wish that to be your fate? she said, not expecting a reply but waiting to see what the new lion would do. He looked alright but it seemed he would have to change a lot before he would be allowed into the Pride. Bowing to Simba, Kemmy then said I'm sorry, Simba. I will see that he doesn't do that again. Kemmy then rose back up, scowling at Brad once again as she waited for a reaction.

Brad saw he was put on the spot. Simba however was just as curious and said, "How do you survive without a king?" Brad sighed and said, "My...pride I guess is the word has a coequal group of people leading the...pride. I mean lions." He saw that everyone was even more amazed and to divert attention said, "It means little difference." Simba said to him, "You seem nice enough friend. I will let you in if only to know how your pride is without a king." He looked at Kemmy and he said, "No it is alright." Brad gave Kemmy a, 'Hah I win' look and laughed at how he beat her odds. He looked at Simba and to win him over even more he siad, "My king I will follow you to the end."
