Do you buy video games, DVDs, comics, books, etc often?

Postby HeartsForTheClueless » June 2nd, 2010, 7:53 pm

Any.

It seems like most people prefer to play, watch, or read them free 'ala the wonders of the WWW.

:/
It really sucks for me. I want to buy a lot of things but I have no money, being that I'm still a teenager. My parents give me allowances and such though, but it's rare.

No, almost never.
Videogames and DVDs are very expensive, not only for me but also for my parents.

I have to buy my videogames: I only have a PS3 for my Games console and it uses Blu Ray discs which as far as I know, you can't get or play copied ones yet. I don't think they are that expensive considering how far they have come in terms of technology.. I have alot of PS3 Games by my standards (34) and I don't regret any save for 2 which were shocking xD.

Films: I hate watching copied or uploaded to the net Films. I have a HDTV and surround Sound, watching copied or online Films seems bogus. 9/10 times the quality sucks in both picture and sound or one or the other. I have a HDTV and Surround Sound, so I naturally want to watch Films in the best quality. I never even used to watch Films at all, but when MGS4 came out, I bought speakers and a new TV just for it, played it to death and then bought a couple of Blu Ray films. I was so impressed that I now have about 20+ of them xD.

Books: I just don't like reading books much, I have the Harry Potter set which I read through (that was a gift), I read Twilight which I borrowed from the College Library and those are the only books I have ever read ^^. Oh I do have a Bible aswell, although it's made out of Rizzla paper.

I only buy CDs for artists I want to support. If I ever want mainstream stuff, I'll download it--they certainly don't need my money. Essentially, I buy to support the artist that needs supporting. =]

I don't recall ever having purchased a DVD, lol. I rarely watch movies, so I guess that's why. The same goes for comic books.
When it comes to CDs, I'll check several different stores and websites to find the best deal.
I'll buy a book off of Amazon or ebay if I can't find it at our local library, but those instances are few and far between.
I prefer used video games to new ones because of the difference in price, so I oftentimes buy those online.

Lol, I guess you could say I'm a bit of a cheapskate.

Comics: I used to buy manga but now I just read it online for free

Music: I hate itunes so I screw them by getting my music from youtube for free

Movies: I get them on amazon because they're so cheap there, and they have rare ones like Balto and TLK. I also go to pawnshops where I can get movies for just a few dollars which helps my collection(have over 120 dvds).

Books: I get 'em off amazon because all the book stores in my area closed down so I have no other choice.

Games: I buy them on amazon mostly because they're cheaper new.
Lol, I'm not cheap despite what the above says, but I just don't spend more money anymore than I have to so I can buy more crap ;)

Games: Hardly ever.
DVDs: At least once a month,I love movies! I always get them off Amazon, because they don't cost a fortune on there.
Books: I NEVER buy books. Never. I borrow them, read them, return them to the library. That's it. The only books I actually have ended up buying are the Harry Potter series.
Comics: Don't read comics!
I'm never going back

Not really. I don't have any of my own money to buy them anyways. Why buy books when you can always read them online, or get them at the library. Free and easy. As for video games and DVDs, not so much. I'm not much of a gamer, so I don't play those often. When I do play video games, I don't really bother to buy new ones because for one thing here they're so expensive, and another thing, I enjoy the games I have. I don't really like the ones that are out anyways. I'm too lazy to figure out on how to play them. And for DVD's I always watch movies online, or just go bug KM for one. But the only movie I really watch anymore is The Lion King. xD Not much of a movie watcher either.
