"What your father said is true," she looked from Ekwu and then to the land ahead, "Kujasuri is my son-in-law as you know, but I never thought it would start out that way. He 'saved' your great-aunt and me from some lionesses trying to kill us and he was 'trusted' enough to come into the pride. Although, it was lost when he tried to kill us. I finally had the last straw, and I banished him to the Outlands, where your mother left my care when she was a cub and went to live with him. She then returned with him as her mate and they came back to me when she was pregnant with you".

@Nakisisa: She watched him running off, knowing she was right. She knew he wasn't able to admit it, but she was right and Naki didn't want to admit it to Adeola. He was a sweet lion, she gave him that but she knew that he was always going to have his heart belong to Malaika.

What she hated to admit more though, is that she was too upset over the whole thing. She wished, just once, the sweet ones would look at her instead of her sister.

Naki stopped and climbed a high tree, Remembering the first tie he had heard those words, so long ago and from a different lioness. they still stung. He silently cried and thought about leaving Adeola to fend for herself. However love prevailed and he went back, dreading it all the while.

@Nakisisa: All the while he was gone, she was thinking about how much she was starting to hate her sister for all of this, but when she thought about hating her sister, she felt even worse. How could she hate her own sister? That seemed like a foreign concept...sure, she didn't really like her sister a lot but she loved her sister to death and she would do anything for her almost twin-like sister.

All the thoughts were hitting her head hard, and some of them were too much for her to take so she layed her head down and she closed her eyes.

The cub even had more questions. "But where did Mom and Dad come from? What did Dad mean by sick lions? Why did mom follow him to the Outlands. Uh how and why was I inside mom's tummy? How did dad try to kill you? Why did he try to kill you? Is my father a bad lion like he said?" It was then he stopped wanting to know more about his strange past. Though he knew he was asking a lot of questions he alos knew he could finally know his past so that he could know who he really was.

Kujasuri looked at her and said, "Terrific come to make me feel bad more? I know I am a horrible father okay? But I had to tell my son something!" He looked away huffing angry that everyone was mad at him.

@VitanisMate: Malaika rolled her eyes and walked back to her brothers, "why would you feel bad when you're already a filthy insect" she said before he left. Walking away, she joined her brothers and layed down.

"I don't know about your parents, all I know about them is Mzuri came to me when she was a cub and Kujasuri came from the Outlands I think. Sick lions: lions who aren't exactly...right in the head, you could say. Mzuri followed him because she liked him, eventually loved. Your father, let's just leave it at he didn't and I'm still around to make sure you don't get yourself into any trouble. Is Kujarui a bad lion?" She had to think about it for a while. After some silence she looked back at him, "your father would only be a bad lion if he didn't love you. And he does, so he saved his behind there" she smiled down at her grandson.

The lioness look at Adeola and ask her "excuse me, but what's the name of that cub that you have?", the lioness for some reason knew that she has saw that cub's fur before

@SilverSimba01: Adeola pulled Kamy into her leg more and snarled at the lioness. "Kamy, is my daughter's name".

It was then a whisper came that only the cub could hear. "Son I am sorry for leaving you. Please I love you so much. I want you to know of me. I came from a horrible family that abandoned me and hurt me. HTta is all you need to know." It was then he saw a cloud up in the sky that looked like a lioness. It started to disappear. "Hey wait come back." It then disappeared. "Adeola did you see and hear that? Who was that lioness I wonder?"

Grunge followed nervously. He had feelings for Adeola, and he could tell that if he wanted to be with her, he had to be loyal - and that meant braving the angers of her father. Ok. I'll just keep quiet then... he said quietly, staying close to the lioness as they walked. He made sure not to look anyone in the eye still, since that would be considered a challenge coming from a strange Outlander.

@VitanisMate: How could Adeola not have recognized it? It was her daughter. Though the cub was questioning the cloud, she would let him wonder about it and then figure it out when he was older. "You'll know when you're older, Ekwu" she said, getting to her feet. She stretched out her front legs, knowing she was stiff. After she had gotten older over the year, she sure was feeling it hit her a little harder.

@SnowyCheetah: Neobi and Afolabi kept a close eye on Grunge, eyeing him over and sizing him up. Of course, size was only an issue for Afolabi as Neobi was the largest lion in the Pridelands so he didn't look too scared or intimidated by the stranger. Adeola kept her eyes ahead of her, and looked over the land her small pride claimed for themselves over the years.

All of a sudden, out of no where, Malaika jumped out and looked Grunge right in the eyes. "You're cute" she chirped.
