Kovu looked at the creepy little monkey. "What do you want from me? Do you know of Simba's appearance? Do you know of a way to help us in any way?" He followed the monkey wondering what the monkey was up to. He entered the overgrown place Simba had entered all those years ago. "Rafiki what is it I am supposed to see?" He came toward a pool of water confused by this. "Rafiki it is just my reflection."

Suddenly, another face appeared in the pond. A look to the sky would reveal a lioness - a great Queen of the past, smiling down upon Kovu. Perhaps it was Adahi's Queen. She spoke in a soft voice Kovu. I understand there are dead and wounded.

Kovu looked in the face of the lioness queen obviously not recognizing her and was confused. "What do you want? Who are you? Can you help?" He then looked at Rafiki with neither anger nor happiness. "What kind of magic are you doing here? Why am I seeing this?"

Show me your wounded mate, and your dying friend. the lioness said, some urgency in her voice. I am the reason you needed to return to the Pridelands. I promise, if you have come in time, your friend and mate will both be alright by the morning.

He looked at the lion. "They have come in time. But why do you need me?" he saw the lioness noticing she looked like a darker version of Kiara and understood who she was. "I am not from your family line. If you need somone to do something Kiara will help you once she feels better."

It must be done now. The dying one is called Grunge, I gather? You must have him drink from the pond. There's more to that water than meets the eye. the lioness said, raising her paw and waving it gently in the sky, causing waves in the pond even without physical contact.

He told the old lioness to bring Kiara and Grunge over. "Have them drink from this pond. Make sure they drink well." He looked up noticing the clouds had disappeared. "He looked back seeing that Grunge and Kiara were waking up. "Grunge? Kiara?" He looks up. "Thank you."

Fading away, the lioness smiled at Kovu as he'd done well. Grunge coughed as he woke, coming back to life. What the hell... Where am I...? he asked, quite weak but otherwise ok.

Kiara looked to Grunge. "It was alright you were great back there do you hear that?" She hugged him. Kovu coughed getting a little jealous. "Well if you two lovebirds are done let's get back and get Navi back to her cheetahs."

Grunge was quite drowsy and groggy and couldn't understand much of what was going on. Rising to his paws, he was practically drunk. He'd be find by morning. Meanwhile, Navi was sitting alone somewhere. She had been away so long, she was quite unsure of how to make her return to her coalition.
