Zimmer trains other composers?
That's pretty awesome, passing on the knowledge to others is always a good thing :)
All his music is really great, once again i'm listening to another of his songs ^^
(Crimson Tide Theme :))
I do admire his work ^^

I'm not so sure he "trained" them, per se...but Jablonsky and Powell certainly learned a lot of their tricks from him.

If you want proof, just listen to the soundtrack from the first Transformers movie...absolute, sheer epicness! One of my favourite soundtracks, really.

But nothing will ever surpass Zimmer!

Oh I see ^^
Still, it's great that they are picking up stuff from him, learning from the master :)

Oh, definitely! :)

As I said, just check out the score for "Transformers" for an example of Jablonsky, and try either "Bolt" or "The Bourne Identity" for Powell, although I've only listened to Transformers and Bolt myself.

Which also reminds me that I haven't heard too much of Hans Zimmer's stuff, either. I have the soundtrack AND the complete score for LK, and I have the Gladiator soundtrack as well, but does anyone know any other REALLY good ones from him? (that's probably a stupid question, really  since they're all good).

Here's what I've got and heard of his stuff.
-The Lion King (duh)
-Gladiator
-Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (co-composed with Lorne Balfe)

Any recommendations of anything else he did to perfection?

I'll have to check out those 2 composers ^^
Oh, I've got a few Hans Zimmer songs that you should definitely listen to :)

Crimson Tide Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBTIoL5vaOM

Black Hawk Down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw3VkhTrK50 & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcxQfCZ_9V8

And 'The Rock': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRpFBFzE9xM

That's all I can think of right now, but they are perfect and are definitely worth a listen :)

His Modern Warfare 2 soundtracks are amazing! I keep replaying the game jsut to hear them. Also the music he did for TLK are also very good. This man is a genius
Sometimes I simply sit down and write because I cannot help it. Who knows, perhaps one day something will come out of it. Writing is the only thing that, when I do it, I don't feel I should be doing something else.

Yup...oh and by the way, iTunes just released a soundtrack for Modern Warfare 2...although he didn't entirely do that one. Zimmer only composed the main themes, Lorne Balfe did most of the work.

The wonderful world of the internet. I actually don't honestly remember the exact details...I've got so many soundtracks these days it's hard to keep track of where I got what from (Australia neglects soundtracks in their music stories)
