Rafiki was about to tell Simba what he came for when Zazu appeared. "The queen has asked me to tell you she and kiara are on their way back, is there anything you wish of me?" Zazu asked. Simba shook his head, "no Zazu thank you, you may do as you wish now." Moving away he turned back to Rafiki, "okay, what is it you need to tell me."

Rafiki looked at Simba long and hard then whispered, "your majesty, what have you done to Kovu?" Simba recoiled and looked at him horrified, "how do you know?!" he hissed. Rafiki shook his head, "the Great Kings told it to me, Mufasa would be so ashamed... you need to make this right Simba." Simba growled and shook his head, "No! Kovu is one of them, they murdered my father! They... they murdered my dear son as well..."

"Thank you sire" zazu said flying off to look around the kingdom again

Kovu put Jata down and began telling her the entire thing from the beginning.
"Alot before the two of us were born, probably before our parents even met eachother, this place was pretty much like this. There was a king and the lands were in perfect shape. Simba, the current king who you've met already was just a cub and his uncle who's name was Scar, was jealous of his brother. He kept trying killing his brother and Simba as well, and at some point he had managed to kill his own brother. According to my mother Simba ran away and returned as an adult and killed Scar for no reason, but that's not like him, he was avenging his father. But my mom kept one thing in her mind; revenge. After a while Simba and his mate had a son. My mother waited for an oppertunity, caught him alone and killed him. She never told me that Scar killed Simba's father, she kept telling me that Scar was killed for no reason. After the death of SImba's son my mother and the rest of Scar's followers were exiled. Even though she kept denying and saying that she did not kill his cub, they never found his body by the way..."
He paused and looked at Jata who seemed tired and listening eagerly at the same time.
"Since then my mother had been plotting on how to kill Simba and take over. I was part of her plan, but now I've decided I don't want any part in this." He paused to think carefully about every single detail that he found out today.
"Tell me about your friends," he said moving a little closer, "your lands," he said af he had to know, "what was your cubhood like?

(( Now reading Silly's post it reminds me of those Drama shows on TV when there's this wierd background music and they move from one epic scene to another xD)

"My... Friends?" she said stunned "My... Lands" *stuttering* "My... Cubhood" now truly showing some sadness, she began with a shaky voice
"My friends, there were 5 of us, myself included there was 4 girls and a boy, Fadhili, Tamu, Nurisha and Dakarai, they were great, amazing, we were always there for each other, playing and such like, making ourselves a nuisance" she said half heatedly laughing "I even sort have had a crush on Dakarai" she said blushing "The girls looked like me, a few minor variations but very similar" she said looking at Kovu "And Dakarai looked like you" she said blushing more "Our cubhood was uneventful, we were happy the lands prospered and my parents taught me how to be a queen" she said, The lands looked amazing, very much like where we were before, but a lot bigger" she sighed, "Me and Dakarai went out for a while, but we broke up, to my disappointment, he took a liking in another lioness, and his duty as a protector was looming, however, soon after this, i meet another lion, walking our border, and his own, we became friends and we talked for a long time that day, He was a prince, and i was a princess and our lands had both been prosperous for a long time, so when we spoke to our parents they met and agreed that we could be wed." *she sighed again* "We went out for a further few months, getting to know each other, i introduced him to my friends, and they all accepted him," *bigger sigh* "the night before our wedding, he found out that my parents were going to take over his lands, so he ran back to warn them, my parents found out, and killed him on his side of the border, they dragged his body back and began feasting on it, Finding him dead and a war about to start, i fled to become a rouge, and after a long time alone, i met you and the rest you know" she said sounding tired, Kovu come here please" she said, he ears flattening against her head

Kovu smiled at Jata's story and at how she smiled going back into her happier memories.
Thinking he could have had a happy cubhood in a better home he sighed to himself.
Kovu, come here please Jata spoke all of a sudden.
"What is it?" he asked as he moved closer to her

"Would you sleep next to me?" she said almost exhausted from the days events

Kovu smiled at Jata. "Sure." he said with a slight relaxed voice. "But we can't be here in the middle of no where. The cave where you found me is not far from here, but I think heading back to Pride Rock is safer for both of us."

Where are you mother? Zira's face twitched a little when she heard her son's irretating voice.
"What is it? Why aren't you on watch where you should be?"

"OK" Jata replied weakly, "you'll have to carry me though, im too tired to walk" she said

Vitani was watching Kovu and Jata as they got up and left again. -Good boy, you need to stay with us...- she thought to herself. She slunk after them quietly to keep watching.

"Rafiki you need to keep this quiet, I'm going to have to go back to where I hid him and make sure he's still okay... maybe if I explain he'll forgive me," Simba said nervously. He realized he had made a very huge mistake, one that might put his pride in danger. The old mandrill nodded and bid Simba a farewell and made his way back to his tree. Simba stepped out onto the ledge of Pride Rock to look out across the land. Not too far off he could see Nala, Kiara and the other lionesses coming back. He looked towards the cave where he hid Kovu and realized it was getting dark. -I better go as soon as the sun rises,- he thought, -hopefully Kovu hasn't starved to death yet...-

Nala looked up towards Pride Rock and spotted the small figure of Simba. "Look Kiara! There he is waiting for us!"
