Mzuri raced with Malaika around the grassland until she came toward some water. Not knowing or caring really whether crocodiles were in there for she was so thirsty, she started drinking and the crocodiles came closer.

Kujasuri ran ahead until he spotted Adeola following a dark female ahead. He thought of a plan and quickly raced ahead until he saw that Adeola was way behind the lioness. He stepped forward. "My how we look pretty tonight. I see you have a problem following you. Well guess what I have that same problem. Perhaps we could work together this one time to bring down our common foe. This is an annoyance for you too I can only imagine. I offer to help you kill her and leave immediately after the task is done."

"We must think of how annoying she is and let our hatred flow so that it can destroy her! What must I do for you in return for completing this simple task for me?" He tried to portray himself as both innocent and sinister at the same time. "Anything for such a strong lioness." He looked ahead and tried to show her Adeola would be here any minute and to show time was short.

Adeola had to laugh to herself. She remembered how her mother, when Adeola was a cub, was doing this same exact thing with her when she was scared off by a mouse as well. Oddly enough, her mother said almost the exact same thing as Adeola did to Kamy, and Adeola had taken almost the same exact approach to getting mouse gone and then ran behind Zuri's back to hide. Things that were so tiny and insignificant in these cases seemed so large to children that it made the lioness laugh.

"Now come eat before you starve" she said, pushing the antelope more to Kamy.

@VitanisMate: Malaika followed close behind the cub. She came to where Mzuri was, realizing that the overgrown lizards were coming closer. "Mzuri!" She called out, swooping up the child in her mouth before kicking at the crocodiles with her back paws and running off to safe grounds.

She placed the cub down and caught her breath, looking at the cub. "That was close".

The lioness paused and looked back. She hadn't realized it was a female who was following her, when she thought it was only another animal. The hungry female turned her body and looked forward to see a pair of gold ears sticking out of the green. She opened her mouth and licked her lips, saliva dripping from her sharp, yellow fangs.

She ignored the male, and pounced forward, catching Adeola in her grasp.

The gold lioness snarled, and took her back two feet under the belly of the female trying to kill her and flipped her off. Adeola got to her feet quickly, and crouched low to the ground, ready for her next attack.

The female got up and looked at the female, "why are you following me?"

"You're not from around here. How will I know you're not going to try and kill my cub?" Adeola snarled back.

"I have no interest in cubs".

Adeola was getting angry with the word games this female was trying to play. She let out a roar, "then what are you here for? And it better be good or you're not getting anything to eat ever again".

Mzuri looked forward completely shocked at what just happened. "I am sorry. I was just so thirsty I ignored the danger." She remembered another moment of her childhood where she was caught on a rock full of crocs and her mom did nothing to save her. It was a sad moment of her past.

She looked up at Malaika and said, "Why did you save me? None of the other adults ever did."

Kujasuri looked at the situation going on between the two lionesses. Oh no you fool no one turns their back on me. A pity since you could have helped and been rewarded. He looked at the best time to take control of the situation and the best time to strike. He waited amused at the catfight going on around him and watched as an audience entertained.

He immediately without a second thought clawed as hard as he could around the femle's larnyx to make sure that Adeola heard of no deal he made with the lioness. He hoped that worked right.

Everything was going according to plan so far and he smiled.

He looked back hoping the female would never get up again.

"Come now are we to leave this place? I will lead the way. It would be an honor."

He looked back once more.

"So the cub you rescued is your cub now huh?" He snickered and said, "I respect that and I am sure the cub does too. It seems she loves you very much."

Kamy give a bite to the antelope, she try to chew it, but she got difficulty to swallod it, she spilt it out, "I can't swallod it", she try to give another bite, but as before, she couldn't swallod, for some reason Kamy wasn't still be able to shew very well the food,

@VitanisMate: Malaika looked down at the cub with an odd look on her face. Why would she ask something like that? Obviously because in a pride you don't leave one behind. "Because you're in my pride" she smiled, "we look out for each other".

She walked a little more forward, "besides, you're a cool kid. I like you".

Adeola let out a cry of shock when she saw the lioness killed before her very eyes. Moving her paws back, she avoided the blood spilling out of the body and came beside Kujasuri to avoid stepping in any of it.

At his offer, she looked up at him with shock still in her eyes and she nodded without a sound and followed him. She couldn't help her wandering eyes looking back at the dead female, but she was snapped out of it when she looked back at Kujasuri when he spoke to her once more about Mzuri. "Yeah" she replied coming up right beside him with her steps at the same pace as his but her eyes set on the ground ahead of her, "I love her too".

Catching what she said, she cleared her throat a little and let her tail twitch, keeping her neck held high like always. "We should get back before the others worry". Letting someone know she had a soft spot was not an option for her in the least, and she wasn't going to slip up and let them know now.

@SilverSimba01: Adeola thought back to what she thought before and looked at Kamy, "Kamy do you still have to drink milk?"

Kamy wasn't sure if she still was the need to drink milk, "I guess, I can't chew this food very well", she say to Adeola, but still be hungry

@SilverSimba01: "I'll take that as a 'yes' then" she said. What was she going to do? She hadn't had any cubs of her own, so there was no way she could make milk for the cub. But maybe...

She lifted her head to the air and let out a loud roar for her mother. In a matter of seconds, a dark lioness of gray and dark brown trotted along and came to her daughter's side. "Yes?"

"Mom, do you still have milk?" Adeola asked. Zuri didn't even need to ask what for before she walked over to the cub and layed down on her side to reveal her belly. Adeola nodded to Kamy for her to drink the milk.

Mzuri looked at the sister amazed at the kindness this one pride as shown to her. One small effort at being cute was all that was needed it seemed. She smiled and said, "Thank you and I love this pride more than life itself." She smiled big this time.

She looked toward the cliff up ahead and told Malaika, "I will beat you!" and ran off.

Kujasuri looked back one last time before looking forward once more. "Yes I can see that Mzuri loves you. Call it paternal instinct." He laughed loudly at that. "And it seems you would even die to protect her." Note to self be sure to test that.

"Let me ask you something else. Has the cub mentioned me? Has the cub mentioned anything about me." He looked ahead thinking of how to frame his next question. After this act I sincerely doubt I have bought her whole trust but what if I save her life again and again. Eventually they will trust me greatly. Once the time comes I will lick the blood from their bodies. He looked at the lioness again.

"Well I hope I have shown to you where my loyalties lie and that is to protect this pride with everything I have for I care so deeply for it. You see future queen I am a lion of simple pleasures and one pleasure is having friends with whom to talk to." He made a note never to say that again because that statement made him sick.

Kamy been hungry, she didn't have other choise but to drink milk, she just lay down and started to drink the milk, after for some long mins, Kamy was full, and in the moment she stop drinking the milk, Kamy started to fall asleep
