Mzuri came toward the new male and said, "Hi I am Mzuri do you want to play?" He heard them going off to hunt and he said, "Later!" and accidently scratched her face. Oh crap if "Ms. Princess" sees this I am out of the pride for good. All the kid did was look into his eyes with a "why" look on her face. For the first time in his life Kujasuri felt bad though that feeling did not last long. If he culd get out of this mess right now he seemed to have found the perfect "cub" to "save." He was expecting "Ms. Blob" to show up any minute wondering where Mzuri was and why he was not helping with the hunt. He tried to compose himself quickly and make a quick response to dig him out of this. He needed this pride for his own entertainment. He laughed again.

@VitanisMate: The pride made their way to where the antelope usually grazed during the afternoon. With the added stealth of never being out in the afternoon, they had the perfect advantage for bringing one down simple and clean. "Alright here's the plan", Adeola turned to the pride and they all looked at her. She looked to Tendai and then the other male, seeing he wasn't there. "Where's Kujasuri?" She asked.

Everyone shrugged. "I think he's still back at the den" Afolabi replied. Of course. Leave it to that twit to be mess things up. If he didn't think he was close to being kicked out of the pride by now, he had another thing coming.

Adeola looked to her father, "lead the hunt. I'll catch up". She didn't even give him time to respond before she leaped back to the den and went in search of the dimwit of a lion. Now that she thought about it, she hadn't heard a peep from Mzuri, making her worry even more. Was he up to something? She didn't put it past him

She reached the den site, "Kujasuri? Mzuri?"

Kujasuri came out and said, "Yes I am sorry I missed the hunt and there really is nothing to see here." However the cub emerged with the scratches. Oh crap leave it to the runt to come out at an inoppertune time. "Uh well you see before you get mad nothing happened on purpose. You see I was..." He stopped not knowing what to say. Mzuri stepped forward though and said to Adeola, "It was my fault. I got hurt on some rocks that scratched my face." Kujasuri looked stunned. He could not fathom what to say. All he could think about was now this kid was still going through his plan. Oh you fools will like me soon enough.

@VitanisMate: "Mzuri" she whispered, walking to the little cub and sitting down in front of her and arching her neck to look her right in the eyes. "Does it hurt?" She asked, picking her paw off the grass to put it to Mzuri's chin and tilt her head up to see it better.

Adeola looked from Mzuri to Kujasuri, "go find the others and help them hunt. I'll be down in a bit" she told him, looking back to the cub.

Kujasuri looked still shaken and said, "Yeah sure. Whatever you want." He went out of the cave. Mzuri looked to Adeola and said, "Kujasuri was about to go tell you that I was hurt after he saw me." She sobbed at the experience that just happened but tried to make it convincing, "He is such a nice lion." Kujasuri came to the others and told them, "Yeah the runt got hurt. Adeola was too lazy to come back so now I must help you hunt. I have a strong back to help you." Mzuri looked at Adeola and said to her, "If you promise not to tell anyone can I tell you a secret?" She looked away not sure if she wanted to tell the lioness who was the closest thing she had to a mother.

Neobi looked over at Kujasuri when he came down and explained where his sister was. Before they went on the hunt once more, he walked right up to him and looked him down, poking his large paw to the male's mane. "Don't talk about my sister that way. You don't know anything about her". With that, he turned his head and looked at the antelope.

"Neobi and Afolabi, give them chase. Zuri and I will chase them into the direction of Malaika and Kujasuri for the kill". It was a team effort and everyone had to be on board. At least that's what they were hoping for. The two male sons charged out and gave chase to the creatures, while the mates ran out to drive them to Malaika and Kujasuri.

Adeola crouched down and crept a little more to the cub. She figured Mzuri would feel like it would be more of a secret to have her do this rather than stand at her normal height and have the cub talk louder so it could reach the lioness's ears. "What's the secret?"

He looked at the brother and smiled, "Perhaps I know more about her than you do hmm?" He stopped though and got into position to hunt. Perfect another way to gain their trust. He looked at everyone at their positions. If everything went right he could claim the glory and get everyone closer to him. He waited for the hunt to begin. He could taste the blood already and that included lion blood about to be spilled.

Mzuri looked to Adeola and siad, "You know you really don't have to stay here. I am fine." She wiped the tear from her eye still there from what happened. She leaned to her ear and said, "I lied about not liking boys. I think I might like this new lion."

The antelope neared Malaika and Kujasuri, as Malaika got ready finish it off. Afolabi had tripped and fallen a little ways back but Neobi had had the antelope in his sight the whole time and he wasn't getting it get away. Neobi, plus his parents started biting at the antelope's legs to weaken it so it would be easier to take down.

Adeola giggled and sat back up, "I would have thought you would have more taste" she joked.

Kujasuria looked at the antelope approaching. He looked at the sister who looked like a cub. Good more glory for me and the closer they will trust me. He looked at the sister and said, "Are you good at this?" He looked at the antelope. In truth he really did not want to be here right now but it was a way of gaining their trust. He waited for the perfect time to strike.

Mzuri looked at Adeola. "I knew you would laugh. Just forget what I said." She looked at Adeola though and told her, "I have another secret too. I think I might be evil or something must be wrong with me." She looked at Adeola and asked, "What do you think?"

@VitanisMate: "Yep, so get your head in the game". Malaika let out a bone-shaking roar as she leaped onto the antelope, and it cried out. She climbed over onto it's back and snarled, ripping it's neck open with one foul swoop of her claws. Everyone stood back when she was going in for the kill, because they knew better than to be in the middle of a fight with Malaika and anything that crossed her path.

When the female turned around, blood on her claws and nose, she let out one last snarl. After that, her normal smile returned and she giggled, "I killed it". Her brothers walked over, while Zuri walked ahead. Tendai padded over to Kujasuri and patted him on the back.

"Good try. Next time you'll get 'em for sure" he encouraged. "Let's go eat". The gold male walked forward to the kill and started to feast with his family.

"No no, I'm not laughing at you kiddo". She put her paw on the cub's head and rubbed her baby fur lightly. "If you like him, I'm happy for you and I hope things work out". She knew of course, that Mzuri wouldn't get the reciprocate feelings from Kujasuri for a long time, and she might not even get his 'love' at any point of her lifetime, but she did hope for her happiness.

"As for you being evil, I think the only thing you're evil for is being too cute". She took her paw away from the head of Mzuri and turned her body, "now come on, let's go see the others". Adeola walked forward at a good pace so that her little friend could follow along. Her eyes glanced over the cut on her fur and narrowed her hazels. Did she really trip? Or was she hiding something? Her eyes, when she was telling Adeola what had happened to give her the mark on her cheek, didn't fit her explanation. But she would ignore it...for now.
