Having just defeated his twisted uncle, Simba was immensely glad and relieved to see his Pride, all loyal to him. Dusting himself off, he went to nuzzle his mate. After a joyful reunion, he realized that the Pride wasn't as large as it used to be. He feared the worst as a tear came to his eye and he looked at Nala, asking Nala... what's happened to your mother? in a shocked and sorrowful tone.

Nala was enjoying the blissful nuzzle of her mate when he suddenly jolted back and asked her a question. Nala, a bit dazzed of the sudden action, looked round herself for any signs of her mother, Sarafina, with no luck I dont know Simba, I would expect she be right here. Maybe Sarabi knows they are life long friends after all

Nala then looked round the pride once again to find the widow queen.
