Zira entered the outsider's den with an empty expression.
"Listen you two." She said looking down at Nuka and Vitani who were fighting each other.
"They were looking for Kovu. He's been missing since last night." There was a short silence.
"Vitani, I need you to scan the entire lands for him, search every cave and every waterhole you can locate. Start from the western border of the Pride Lands."
[Silly please note that the valley Kovu and Jata are at is near the west border of the pride lands.]

Nala stayed quiet when Kiara asked her. She really didn't want to talk about it, even though it was long ago, the wound was still fresh. Still, she figured Kiara should know about her brother. Perhaps then she'd understand why she and Simba were so protective of her.

"Before you were born your father and I had another cub," she began, "his name was Kopa. He looked like your father did as a cub, but with my eyes. Zira lived at Pride Rock with all of us, but she hated us because of what happened to Scar. One day she followed Kopa as he went off to play and she killed him. We banished her and her followers after that. Simba was never the same again..."

Vitani nodded at her mother, "of course! Right away!" Turning tail she quickly ran out of the cave to begin her search.

Simba was never the same again...
"Mother..." she said nuzzling her mother "...Why didn't you tell me about this before" she said her ears flat against her head, a few tears in her eyes.

"My queen, is there anything you wish of me" zazu asked the queen polietly.

"What should I do mother?" Nuka asked.

"What do you want to do?" She asked impatiently

"I don't know mother? What do you want me to do? I could help vitani?" Nuka said

After a moment of thinking Zira looked back at her son. "Go to the main waterhole, where you can get a view of pride rock. If he's there, report to me, if you see him walk by ask him what's happening. What are you waiting for? I said GO!"

(( when you think it's time to get back to Jata and Kovu let me know.

"Yes mother" Nuka said as he ran off, leaving and heading to the waterhole, passing Vitani, "We finish this later sis" he said running off

Nala shook her head, "we wanted to give you as best possible a life for you Kiara." She looked up and sighed, "we figured that perhaps if we didn't speak of Kopa, his loss wouldn't hurt so much." She then looked over to where Zazu was flying, "I suppose notify Simba that we are on our way and we're fine."

Vitani rolled her eyes at Nuka and kept running. As she ran she breathed in deeply and could very faintly catch the scent of Kovu over in the direction of the western border. "Try to keep up with me Nuka, I think I picked up the scent." She started running a little faster when the smell of another creature hit her nose. She was still too far to figure out what it was. "Do you smell that? I don't think Kovu is alone..."

"Yes, My Queen" Zazu said flying off towards Simba

"But mother tol... Oh yeah" Nuka said also picking up kovus scent faintly, "You lead" he said to Vitani

"Kovu" Jata said "you said you lived in the outlands, Right?" she said stopping crying "Was there anyone special you left behind?"

"Not really... My mother, an older half brother of me, and a 3 months older half sister. They came from a different father." He answered her question without hesitating.
"But you... You must have had friends there, you just left them behind?"
