Scar's Alternative Name

i think scar was used in the movies to give a slightly morre bad guy profile of which taka wouldent have done
but to answear youre question i do prefer scar i reckon it sounds cooler than taka

To be personally I think that both names fit him well, the story of how his name changed is good also I think. However, the (nick)name 'Scar' gives him the more menacing and scary feel to his character, which is more fitting for his personality

Both names seem to work for him, especially now that I know what 'taka' means

I personally prefer 'Scar'. Like most people here seem to agree, it just seems to be more menacing for his character in the movie.

Scar doesn't sound like a name a parent would give their child at birth. I haven't cared to vision a birth name to him but I wouldn't have given him the name "Taka", as in I don't regard it at all when talking about him or writing fanfiction. But in general it's fine with me. But I'd like to think the author made it up for its meaning "want", which I think is also one meaning for the name. Because it could fit the character all along whereas "trash" or "garbage" doesn't really.

I've always figured if they wanted to make TLK less like Kimba, it would have been better to give Scar a name that sounds less like Claw from Kimba... And at least put the scar on the other side of his face rofl.

I like Scar better because that's his real name, the name we see in TLK.
