Tii

Tii

Postby Kina » May 12th, 2010, 12:54 am

Name: Tii
- Name Meaning: Loyal

Age: Adult / 4 Years

Gender: Female.

Species: Panthera Leos (Lion)

Appearance: Tii is the average four and a half feet at the shoulder — give or take an inch or two — and weighs around 270ish pounds. The lioness’s sand colored pelt and softer beige subpelt are well groomed, with a darker tan tail tuft. It is apparent that she is muscular, though, creating a rather sturdy but not quite bulky build. Her eyes are a soft hazel, usually pensive and thoughtful. Tii usually keeps her dark claws sheathed, unless the need arises.

Personality: The young lioness is reserved, but at the same time a curious one. Thus, she is more likely to sit back and observe than take part in anything right off, even a little shy. Tii is more likely to speak after being spoken to, but she lives up to her namesake once someone earns her friendship. Her loyalty is unwavering, and she’ll risk much if she needs to. Tii is affectionate to those she has opened to, though, providing mixed opinions of her. It would be no exaggeration to call her protective to friends, though. At the same time, however, she’d be walked on rather than stand up for herself. An odd mix, no doubt.

History: Tii was but a young cub when it came time to move on from their original lands. Having not had time to grow attached to them, the loss was not as devastating to her when they were forced to leave. Even so, she picked up on the rest of the pride’s unrest. Many of her first moons were spent traveling, hardening the cubs dark paws early into her life. However, they were unwelcome in others lands.

Treated as rogues, they were driven out. Being unwelcome wherever she went molded the cub into what she is now, only her pride members apparently caring about her. With constantly traveling as she grew, though, she became perspective. Sitting back and watching had its perks, no doubt. She learned much by doing so, even as an older cub by that time. However, as time wore on, its affects showed. Other members of the pride slowly joined prides as the trust was gained, others died of injury or aging aliments.

By the time she was an adolescent, they were reduced to four. Her own mother had perished some moons ago, and it seemed strife was heavy in the evening air once again. The loss of Kuukeni was hard on them all, though practicality slapped them coldly across the face. Despite their sorrow, they had to move on once more. They were in another’s territory, and would not be welcomed.

The next two years were uneventful, until they surprisingly encountered the shaded tawny lioness again. Surprise was great, but the reunion was heart warming for all of them. Common ground was reached once more, peace finally returning amongst their still troubled minds. However, when they conceded to join another’s fresh pride, she did as well. Her connections with the trio were too strong to move on alone, even if she was wary of Amri.

Skills: While her build makes her suited for hunting, she’s rather be scouting to learn more of her surroundings and those inhabiting it. Her excellent hearing and sense of smell also help with that, though her fairly gentle personality makes her a good candidate for cub sitting should it be needed. Tii is also good as swimming, in contrast to the rest of her pride being better at climbing than the former.

Another awesome character you've created here Kina. :) Well detailed and thought out just like the rest and unique in her own right. :) I'm interested to see how she's going to fit into the story, as from the looks of her bio, she'd seem like more of a supportive role but I'm sure you have bigger and better plans for her than that. :) Keep up the fantastic work as always my friend and my excitement just keeps on building for this Fan Fic with each new character you introduce us to. ^^

*Smiles, then nuzzles.*

Once again, my friend, thank you. I felt this was one of my poorer CSs, but I'm pleased that you like Tii. Hehe, well, you'll see that in my works, no one is fully a background character. Everyone will have their dawning moment, and I like to write from many different PoVs.

I may also have the chapter excerpt up soon, KM. ^_^

*purrs and nuzzles Kina*

You're most welcome as always Kina. :) Indeed, I remember you telling me this and I like that fact a lot. ^^ I think every character in a story, no matter how big or small of a role they have, should be treated equally no matter what. :)

*Nods, also purring.*

Maybe so, XD. And, I very much so agree with that sentiment. Characters that utterly fade into the background lose some of their realism, no matter how well crafted they originally are.

Precisely. :) That's a big flaw that a lot of stories have if the writer introduces too many characters. Either too much focus is put upon a select few while the other's fade into the background, or all the characters are poorly touched upon and none truly shine. ^^

Mmmhmm, which is why this tale will be my largest challenge yet. It'll truly test my skill as an author, what with having so many characters running about. Hopefully Shadows of the Moonlight doesn't fall to that.

Well, you've had quite a lot of practice it seems Kina, so I highly doubt that this will be the fate of your story my friend. ^^ It's obvious that you have immense talent and I'm sure you'll be able to handle everything just fine. ^^

Hey, three years is a lot and look how much you've written since then. ^^ Practice definitely does make perfect and your hard work definitely shows Kina. :)
