What Is Love?

Ah, guess I should say more.

Love is more than friendship, but it also has its roots in friendship. And that said, I also think that the definition and interpretation of love varies across both cultures and individuals. So I think it's impossible to define clearly what love is. To be fair, it basically is what you say it is. I mean, if you're saying "I love this sandwich" and then say "I love this girl," chances are you're talking about two different forms and/or degrees of love there.

I think of love as a bond between two or more people. When you love another, they're more than just a friend; they're someone you very, very deeply care for. Someone you love can also be someone you could see yourself marrying one day, though that doesn't have to be the case. Love basically just depends on depth, complexity, etc. of the person who is defining it. Like I said, it changes from person to person.

Just take what you think is love, make it, and don't lose sight of it. Its definition is inside you.

My definition of love is a strong bond between two people - so strong that they feel signifgantly happier together than apart; so strong that they can tell each other anything and be able to trust each other with any knowledge about themselves; so strong that firmly believe that they wish to spend the rest of their lives together; so strong that they want to cuddle with each other and kiss and... that other stuff; so strong that they will sacrifice anything to keep their love alive; so strong that they're always drawn to each other and will stay together no matter what happens, no matter who shows up, no matter who disagrees, no matter what. Period. The only thing that can break true love is one or both of the lovers being a faker, only pretending to love the other one.

but back to love.... it's the "thing" where you stuck together no matter what, you help each other in bad times, have fun together in good times, feel open to share everything with each other and have no secrets for each other. And stay true to each other, no matter what.
