"Where`s Your Pretty Daughter, Nala?"

Remember the battle scene: Pridelanders vs. Outlanders?
Vitani looks down on Nala from a rock, saying "Where’s your pretty daughter, Nala?" to which Nala angrily replies: "Vitani!" and they fight..

This is something I’ve been wondering about.. What does Vitani mean by saying this? And why does Nala seem to outraged to see Vitani? Is it just because she’s Ziras daughter?

I think she says that because Vitani and Kiara are totally different. Vitani has a wild, mysterious nature, and normally she would be the princess if it wasn't for Simba to come back and become king, while Kiara is Simba's daughter, she's pretty, she's the future queen, and she's (no offence) a little spoiled compared to Vitani...

I think possibly Vitani was trying to point out the fact
that Kiara wasn't there she was with Kovu, and by
saying that to Nala she kind of rubbed it in her face that
The Princess was with a Outsider, but thats just what I think

Vitani was mocking the fact that Kiara wasn't present, probably in the hopes of worrying Nala further, although it just seemed to result in instead, but yeah. It's probably just Vitani's way of getting into her opponents head, much like Zira probably taught her to. I suppose Disney also wanted to give Nala a decent role in the fight, and seeing that Zira was already busy with Simba, the only canon character left to fill the spot to fight her would be Vitani, which I must say, would be a really close match if they had actually fought longer than however long they did. ^^

Yeah, I'd agree with KM; Vitani was just trying to get in Nala's head by reminding her of the fact that her daughter was not present and her whereabouts were unknown. I think that would get to me if I was in the middle of something like that and someone reminded me that my son or daughter was missing.

I agree. I think Tani was just taunting Nala to provoke her enough to attack. This is what most people IRL do when they're looking for a fight. They make fun of the other person so their opponent gets infuriated and a fight ensues. Maybe she did this so she could keep Nala busy so Simba would have no one to help him while the rest of the lionesses and Zira tried to finish him off. That's why, a few seconds later, Zira sees the battle turn in her favor and says, "Simba... you're mine!"
Or, maybe Vitani just wanted to break Nala's jaw lol.

As said above, I think Vitani was just provoking Nala- seeing as Kiara had "disappeared" and no one really knew where she'd gone and if she was with Kovu. For all the Pridelanders' knew, Kiara could have been kidnapped by the Outsiders or something, which probably made Nala on edge, and Vitani just pretty much "rubbed salt into the wound" as they say.
