Maneless lions in Zira's Pride?

I agree that those lions look more scruffy and have slight masculine features, but none of the Outlander lions are very feminine..

I firmly believe that these are lionesses, the only male lions shown in Ziras pride are her sons, Nuka and Kovu.
Plus, all the Outlanders are fully grown, if they were males, they would have big manes.. Unless they were like Nuka, who never grew a full mane, for some reason.. But even he had some hair around his neck as a teenager. So if these lions are male, they would have at least some sign of a mane.. And they don’t.

Well, I found out Disney never had any maneless lions designed in the TLK universe. Maneless lions are tlk fan creations (and they may exist in real life, but we're talking about art/animation/movies/books etc) The first fan artist that used a maneless lion as his fursona is actually my boyfriend, Thani
So he'll might be able to give you more information about the matter

I know, hence why I said Disney intended for them as lionesses by viewers.

They seem alot scruffier than the others. And Nuka's mane was full. Just not puffy like Mufasa's or Simba's.

Exactly. If those lions are males, why have they no sign of manes? Puffy or not? How could a male lion NOT grow a mane?

I never said he accepted them. There were only 13 lionesses in the circle the lionesses formed near the end of TLK(not including Nala or Kiara). But in the war there were 14 outlanders and 10 pridelanders (not including Nala, Zira, Vitani, or Simba)

together that's 24. Maybe they died in the fight as when Kiara and Kovu appear the number of lions fighting seemed to decrease. Maybe they though Kiara had thrown Zira into the water and left thinking she murdered their sister/mother.

But there would be no the males to exile them. They seem Zira's age and if anyone were being exiled it'd be Kovu and Nuka but since that would sabatoge Zira's plan to avenge Scar and pretty much the whole SP storyline it didn't happen.

OK, I understand that this may happen in real life, but why would Disney include this in their movie? It would just be confusing. Disney has always made sure to make it completly clear if a lion character is male or female.
