I have 2 parents.. They’re not divorced, but I often wonder why not. They’re so completly different, I can never understand why they got married in the first place.

I love my mother so much, she’s a great help and support to me.
My father.. I hardly speak to him, although we live in the same house. Let’s just say he wasn’t kind to me or my sisters when we were little.

Single mum, for my entire life. And she's perfect ^^ It disgusts me when people say a child NEEDS to be raised by both parents... obviously it's the better scenario most of the time but sometimes having only one parent can work out just as good ^^

I've spent the majority of my life living with both parents. The only exception being half my sophomore and most of my junior years of high school, while my dad was deployed in Afghanistan. Based on that experience, I agree with this. If anything, not having my dad around forced me to become more responsible, because I had to take his place. While I'm glad I have him around, if I never knew him, it definitely wouldn't be the end of the world. The same could be said for my mom, too, although not as much because neither me nor my dad can cook without a microwave. XD
