Kayla’s eyes widen. “Wh... since when?!” Kayla asks completely in shock.

"Since the last two years..." He took another pause. "I didn't tell anyone else besides Jay and we both agreed not to make this public."

“Oh Conal....” Kayla said quietly wrapping Conal in a tight hug as she felt tears fill her eyes.

(I'd like him to go out peacefully. He's lived a violent, tragic life i think he's earned the right to die happily and non-violently.)
