Growing Up [Private: TheLastLion & Stormy]

[Stormy]

"Oh?" Flash replied. "It's gonna be weird when others wake up and just see me here without a word to them... near you at that." Flash says hesitantly.

[TheLastLion]

"They'll have to just get used to it," Sadie said firmly "At least the ones who still take issues with you being here."

[Stormy]

"Right... paws crossed Conal doesn't attempt to murder me in my sleep when he finds me here." Flash says with a slight eye roll. "Guess I'll greet the others tomorrow morning."

[TheLastLion]

"If Conal so much as even tries to pull something, he'll have to answer to me. I can assure you that." Sadie replied with bravado.

[Stormy]

"What, he'll have to answer to you after I'm already dead? Are you going to give him a timeout in the corner?" Flash teases with a chuckle.

[TheLastLion]

Sadie chuckled, "He'll wish. But seriously, you'll be fine."

[Stormy]

Flash shrugs. "If you say so." Flash replied with a yawn. "Let's get some shuteye. We probably have a longer day tomorrow."

[TheLastLion]

"Yep, and we're gonna need to be at full strength to get through it."

[Stormy]

“Probably. Goodnight, Sades.” They both eventually fall asleep beside each other.

**Flashback/Nightmare**

Flash and Sadie were by the pond. They were cubs again. It was the same nightmare Flash had previously when he was younger. He shoves Sadie into the pond playfully, before, seemingly out of his own control, forcefully keeps her under the water. Sadie struggles and tries to fight Flash off trying to get herself some air. Flash gives a final kick to Sadie knocking the remaining air out of her before she drowns.

Flash gets out of the water. He’s met by Conal and Kayla standing right out of the pond. Kayla just looked at him upset. Conal, he just stood there, his pupils were gone, similar to ANOTHER dream he had as a cub. Flash slowly began to back a way before he bumps into Conal, he didn’t know how, but Conal was now right in front of him. Conal quickly pins Flash to the ground and applies pressure to his throat. He stared back up at Conal’s soulless eyes as he quickly lost oxygen. He then felt a quick swipe across his throat, signifying Conal had just cut it. While Flash couldn’t feel pain in the dream, he felt the motion on his throat. His vision began to go dark as a symbol of him dying. Slowly... slowly... dead.

Flash jerks up with a gasp in the middle of the night right beside Sadie. Tears flooded his eyes as he quickly stood up and ran outside the cave for some air.

Sadie heard Flash toss and turn in bed and slowly opened her eyes.
