Reunion [PRIVATE: TheLastLion and Abyssal_S]

"Every day." Sadie said quietly, trying not to shed tears herself, "Every. Single. Day." She looked down. "And every time I think about it, I feel more and more helpless and alone."

[Stormy]

"Then why would you do it?" The Queen questions. "Fresh air, fine. But this late and alone, I simply don't know what you were thinking!"

[TheLastLion]

"I.. I don't know.. I don't know why I'm doing what I've been doing at all, lately." Sadie buried her face in her mother's chest.

[Stormy]

The Queen takes a deep breath and closes her eyes for a moment. "Sadie, where were you and with who?" The Queen asks. "The truth, please."

[TheLastLion]

Sadie sighed and pulled away, still sniffling. "Okay, but you're not gonna like the answer."

[Stormy]

"I know." The Queen replied. She took the flower that Flash put on Sadie's ear. "Because I'm pretty sure I know the answer."

[TheLastLion]

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but I can't apologize for the fact that I love him and he loves me back," Sadie said defensively, expecting a harsh rebuttal from her mother.

(I wanna kind of subvert expectations here.)

[Stormy]

(Have the queen disapprove of Sadie not being careful, but approve of, or at least be accepting, of Sadie's crush?)

[Stormy]

(Okay then.)

The Queen only stares down at Sadie for a few moments. She again closes her eyes, even if she had known the answer beforehand. "You're right. I can't." The Queen suddenly responds. "But what you're doing right now, sneaking out, is NOT acceptable. You're not off of the hook. We'll sleep on all of this, but there will be some sort of punishment for the way you went about this."
