Reunion [PRIVATE: TheLastLion and Abyssal_S]

[Stormy]

“No, you’re fine.” Flash replies. “Even if I just think about it, there will never be a good memory there, whether someone brings it up or not. You saved my life. If Kayla hadn’t gotten to me first, and I did what I was supposed to do, I would’ve been killed by your pride after. If I failed, I’d die too because they’d kill me if they found out what I was doing. It was a suicide mission.”

[TheLastLion]

"They sent you to carry out a task that was by all accounts a lose lose situation. If you succeeded, you'd have to somehow avoid capture and bring proof of your success. If you failed and had no proof, you'd be dead."

[Stormy]

“Pretty much, I guess.” Flash replied. “I’m glad I didn’t go for it, though.” Flash says with a small smile looking to Sadie.

"Well, we're all glad you didn't."

[Stormy]

A silence follows after this, as they lay without saying a word for a little while.

[TheLastLion]

"Are you happier here?"

[Stormy]

“Yes. Even if Kayla sometimes gets me down to my last nerve. More positives than the negatives.” Flash says. “I’d like to stay as long as I could.” Flash mentions, seemingly out of the blue.

[TheLastLion]

"Why not just stay, period?" Sadie asks.

[Stormy]

“Well, maybe that came out wrong. I do want to. I just want one day to go with my actual mother again as well. Unless she were to come here.”

[TheLastLion]

"She'll be back, I just know it."
