Kayla heads home to get some much needed rest.

[Stormy]

“Goodnight Kayla.” Conal says to Kayla before leaving.

“I don’t know Flash.. I have to get home..” Sadie responds to his offer.
“Come on.. it’ll be fun! It’s not forever, it’s just one night.” Flash says to Sadie slightly nudging her.
Sadie giggles a bit. “Okay. But you know for a fact my mother and Kayla are going to be pissed off at not just me but both of us like they always are when we leave without telling them.”
“They’ll survive.” Flash responds rolling his eyes.

[Stormy]

Eventually, after messing around for a while, Flash and Sadie decide to go to sleep. “Night Sades.” Flash had gotten Sadie to feel a lot better since she’d got there. Flash made her feel like she was truly cared for. Not that her mom and Kayla never did, but something about Flash that was different. Was it that it was another cub around her age? Maybe. Was it something else? Maybe that too. Sadie was too young to understand anything that she had felt, but she’d find out soon enough. “Night Flash.”

Next morning.

[TheLastLion]

Kayla wakes up the next morning feeling slightly less drained than she did the night before.

[Stormy]

Conal comes by. “Morning. Sleep well?” He asks greeting her with a friendly smile.

[TheLastLion]

"A little bit, yeah."

[Stormy]

“Better than nothing.” Conal notices Flash wasn’t near Kayla like he normally was. He automatically assumes she knows where he is. And if she didn’t, he wasn’t going to bring it up right then as not to stress her out.

"This is a new feeling... relief."

[Stormy]

“That’s good I suppose.” Conal replies. “Well, I guess you should continue to rest up and whatever, I’ll start my cub duties.”
