"Give it a go."

[Stormy]

Sadie takes a deep breath and begins toward the mice.

[TheLastLion]

"Come on, you got this." Kayla thinks to herself as she watches in silence.

[Stormy]

Sadie arrives near the mice. She locks her eyes on one of them and gets ready to pounce. She leaps out for the one and manages to catch it while the others scramble away.

[TheLastLion]

"Impressive." Kayla compliments her.

[Stormy]

"Thanks." Sadie says as she gives a smile to Kayla and the mouse escapes her paws. Suddenly, the grass patch behind her begins to shake a bit. As if something was in it. Flash looks quickly to Kayla to see if she had saw it too.

[TheLastLion]

"Get ready to run." Kayla says, the atmosphere growing more tense.

[Stormy]

Sadie doesn't notice till a few seconds later, and when she does she quickly runs to Kayla and gets behind her.

Kayla unsheathes her claws and prepares to defend the children against whatever awaits them on the other side.

[Stormy]

A lion emerges from the tall grass. It was Parker. He doesn’t move any closer to the three. Flash feels his heart sink to the pit of his stomach.
