The next morning, tensions have largely defused.

[Stormy]

Flash wakes near Kayla, and Sadie comes running in. “Kayla!”

[TheLastLion]

Kayla groggily wakes up.

[Stormy]

Sadie hops onto Kayla. “Guess what day it is!” She says excitedly.

[TheLastLion]

"Your birthday?" She guesses.

[Stormy]

“I’m officially one full month.” She says proudly.



(Kind of lost track of the official days in the story, so I took a guesstimate. heh)

[TheLastLion]

"Oh, congrats!" Kayla says. "You're one step closer to becoming a lionees."

[Stormy]

“I know! It’s exciting!” She says jumping off, using Kayla as a launching pad.

[TheLastLion]

"So, how do you plan on celebrating?"

[Stormy]

“Huh? Celebrate? Oh uhh, I hadn’t thought of it yet.” She admits. Sadie had just been excited about her first milestone.
