First one for sure! There are certain people out there that shouldn't even be driving period, and then you've got some of them texting to boot. Not a healthy combination. It's funny; I was actually reading the newspaper this morning and my state has legislation going through the House right now to make it illegal. While it might be difficult for police to actually enforce that, I do hope it passes.

They give tickets to people for doing it where I live but they hardly ever catch them and if they do catch them they lie about doing it. But whats even more upsetting it that someone is probably going to have to get hurt before they actually do something about it to make them stop.

In my opinion, do both, texting and driving, increase a chance of sufer an accident that can be fatal in many cases,

I have to cycle 2 hours a day (1 hour from and to school) so I encounter many dangerous traffic situations.

I got barely missed by a woman who was calling while driving just a few weeks ago. I even had priority! So honestly, I don't know why she honked/swore at me... perhaps some people are too stubborn to admit they're wrong.

It’s dangerous, stupid and reckless.. I never use my phone when driving, not for texting, and I dont pick it up if it rings. I know how dangerous it is, and I wont put myself or others in danger.

My dad was on his blackberry and crashed.

...so, basically, I think it's stupid and dangerous.

Unfortunately common sense isn't very common these days and I see way too many people doing this.
I don't text or use my Phone if i'm on my own, I turn it off and shut it away in the glove compartmnt actually or my pocket, out of sight and out of mind.
If somone is with me though and half of the time there is: I will get them to read me who it is from and what it says and tell them what to text back, if there's no where to pull over and awnser myself. If I receieve a Call I just put them on loudspeaker and talk.
