Well, I finally got my first interview today.

Finally.

I think it went pretty well. It's not my dream job, but it could be a good opportunity.

Really hope you get it dude, I know how frustrating it is trying to find a job fresh out of college.

I didn't. Welp, time to start filling out hundreds more applications.

I'm sorry dude. Keep trying though. The fact that you made it to the interview stage means you were already 99% of the way there.

I'm in the same boat as you with sending out dozens of job applications and seeming to get nowhere. Unfortunately entry level jobs are hard to get anywhere, regardless of the field.

So how have you waded through the bayou of piss?

Step 1 is too late for you, but:

1. Get a major-appropriate internship/job while still at Uni. I was transferred in for less than a month when I got my unpaid internship. It turned into a paid internship when the semester ended - only after about two months.

2. Use above work experience to ride applications towards interviews and jobs.

So far, I have only been called in for two interviews. But I also got the job both times, so yeah...

I am also about to get a job with what will most likely become my career. That was through personal connections, but said above experience allowed it to happen. Also, due to connections what I am actually thinking right now:
