Everyone loves zazu.

Okay, why on earth did someone bump a thread from 2009? I wasn't paying that close attention to the year and since the thread popped up in active topics, I assumed it was recent stuff.

Common courtesy, guys. Don't bump an old thread for no reason.

Best description EVAH! :D

Industry watcher like myself have always wondered with the AMD versus INTEL methods of innovation. In the 64bit-CPU x86 units, AMD won. Intel heavily lost.

AMD seems to have complex mergers of strange companies & talents. More intellectual cross-breeding. Intel seems more NIT, NIMBY & closed to insiders only, but with more pure research gambling, which seems to have worked.

AMD's multi-culturalism approach has the usual problems of internal misunderstandings, poor optimizations in management, etc. Darwinian evolution seems t show that sexual disharmony is however better in the long run for survival, than non-sexual cloning, with little genetic diversity from outsiders.

This type of analysis & discussion is of great interest, controversy, etc to all in senior management. Will Darwinian evolution proved true again? Will AMD's mammals replace Intel's dinosaurs for Earth dominance?

I chalked it up to the fact that Intel has gotten lazy sitting on their huge profits, while AMD has been forced to innovate in order to stay in business.

Regardless, I have a Ryzen chip now, and I'm very pleased with its performance.

Man Advantage works so, so much better than that $16 crapola we were trying. It is good to only find 1 or 2 fleas on my cats for once.
