I have been needing to share this picture for a long time, to show everyone this is the new technology they are using, then went from paper to electronic artwork, people who still dont like the animation need to accept it and get used to it, also I have noticed another improvement, as I have been sick in bed and watching a TLG marathon(recording of every episode) I noticed that Simbas and Kions eye brows are thinner now, so they definitely fixed something there, I mean compare it to this picture and the ones in the return of the roar or first episodes. Im so glade they improved that cause there thick eye brows were such an eye sore. <br abp="675">Image
I'm sorry, Goth, but even for a children's television series like Lion Guard that's meant to be artistic as well as entertaining has to face some sort of subjective criticism. Just because we don't like something in the series doesn't mean we have to accept it. To quote CinemaSins: No movie is without sin. The animation in the early episodes looked very mechanical and lacked fluidity especially in the way they move their heads and paws. If what Lynx said was true about this series, perhaps, not getting enough funding to deliver quality animation, then, I'll let it slide because it's no fault of the animators. They

That said, I'm so glad they are trimming the thick eye sores because those were unnecessary and probably saves them an amount of money. I haven't watched some of the recent episodes, but I hope they are improving on the animation.

Wasn't really sure where to ask this. Here seemed to be as good of a place as any. Any idea what happened to the facebook page? It seemed to vanish from the face of the earth and a new one took its place. Did Disney shut it down? I'm not really familiar with facebook policy.

It got dmca'd because of super vague copyright issues. One of the admins thinks it might have been a person claiming to be related to disney (but not really) taking us down on false charges.

The only person I (aside from an animator on the show who had no clue) could get into contact over it was kevin schon, voice of timon.

He literally told me that he was thanked by someone central to the show for posting on the page. Just a while back, ford riley, the creator of the show posted on our page.

It totally reeks of someone scamming facebook.

First Off.I hope I don't get into trouble for bumping this old thread, but I didn't know where to post this and I do not think it is worthy of it's own topic.

2ndly If this bit of speculation has been mentioned by anyone else on The Forum I am not intentionally stealing your idea. I thought of this a few days ago.

Anyhow several people feel that The Roar is Too powerful and should perhaps have a weakness of some kind. Several people also feel that Zira (and The Outsiders) were too easily defeated by The Roar.

However take this into consideration if you would. Zira honestly believed that Kion could not use The Roar against her and therefore was caught by supersize when it was used against her. Now knowing that The Roar is a threat to her, I doubt Zira will (or have her cubs) confront The Lion Guard without (there is no way to avoid this pun) being prepared. While I doubt Zira will discover that The Roar has a weakness, or a way to counter it. I think that if anyone can think of combat tactics to confront an opponent that has The Roar. It would be Zira. :devious: Therefore If Zira does lead The Outsiders into another confrontation with The Lion Guard, the threat they pose will be much more significant.

The roar doesn't need a weakness. Kion however, has a weakness. He assumes that lions by default have good hearts. He originally assumed that Jasiri was evil just because she was a hyena. He has been challenged on preconcieved notions.

His weakness is his assumptions on what makes someone good or evil.

the roar don't need a weakness really. it is suposed to be really powerfull. it can even do a waterfall which is really powerfull. so of corse it would defeat zira and them really easy.

The Roar is actually the biggest problem I currently have with the show. Which is ironic considering it's what the whole concept of the show revolves around. They should get rid of it somehow. I know that would kinda destroy the whole purpose of The Lion Guard as a group and Kion's character as their leader, but by the time Season 3 rolls around, the whole Roar shtick will have grown really old and tiresome. I feel like the show is stronger than that, and that in the long run it'd be for the best to get rid of it. Of course, I'd want the writing for it to still be good and make sense.

If I were sitting in the decisive chair, I'd make it so the Season 2 finale has Kion face the choice of either keeping his Roar, or getting rid of it and thus saving someone he cares for (maybe Kiara, for example). Kion would obviously choose the latter, lose the Roar and learn the lesson that the Roar doesn't define him as a leader. That'd make for a good storyline in my opinion, and would get rid of the Roar at a time I feel it'd grow stale. It would also open new interesting challenges for Kion to face in the following season.

Kallo, your idea kind of (a vague connection) reminds me of the spiderman homecoming trailers where Peter tells Tony that he's nothing without his fancy high tech spidey suit, then Tony tells Peter to give it back.

And in the trailers we see Peter using a home made suit like he did before the events of captain america civil war, either implying those are flashbacks or peter trying to prove his worth without the use of a fancy costume.

I do like your idea of having the roar go away to prove kions worth as a leader without it.

I also like the idea of Kion misusing the roar and because of it, he loses it and leaves the pridelands in shame. Which would lead to a post tlk2 timeskip with kiara and kovus cubs. Kion returns, a shell of his former self, and we discover that ...lets say, their secondborn discovers she has the roar and is the new leader of the lion guard. Kion himself would take on a mentor role, guiding her along a good path in life so that she doesnt repeat his mistakes.

it wouldn't be the lion guard without kion having the roar. and i really hope they keep kion with it. and also keep him young like they do so many cartoons. they don't have to make someone grow up or even make them lose something to make it a good show.

I dunno, it works for something like the simpsons but I would like to see a timeskip as it would strengthen storytelling potential. They wouldn't be held back by the show taking place during the timeframe of the lion king 2.
