New episode 'The Lost Gorillas'.

Harambe isn't funny because he died. People were heckin' outraged that he died, so they swore they'd never let him be forgotten. Ever since then people have found enjoyment in spamming his name and legacy whenever it's least expected. That's the funny part.

I'd swear the gorillas are voiced by Dan and Phil of Youtube.

I still don't know how that snow never melted, though. Perhaps someone more science-oriented can offer an explanation?[/quote]

A quick google says snow/ice melts at 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius), and seeing as Lion King Pridelands take features from Kenya I tried to look up the rough temperature it is at dusk.
I found this:

During the Wet season daytime temperatures are between 24°C/75°F and 27°C/81°F at higher altitudes. At lower altitudes daytime temperatures are more consistent and hover at 30°C/86°F.

What is the average temperature in Nairobi Kenya?
February is the hottest month in Nairobi with an average temperature of 21°C (69°F) and the coldest is July at 17°C (62°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 9 in February. The wettest month is April with an average of 130mm of rain.

I do recall Mythbusters doing a thing with snow in where they had built two snowman, and dressed one up. The undressed one melted sooner than the dressed one.

Hmm. So this was a winter/Christmas themed episode and a first in the LK franchise..

Interesting. Really. 'Might take a look at it, and Fuli playing in the snow.

I've never seen any videos by Dan or Phil, although I was certainly aware of their existence. So I pretty much went into this blind, but I think they did a good job! (Except for that one line that was like "Look I'm flying", that was so flat, oh my gosh)

Their accents were... I surround myself with a lot of English media, so I don't generally tend to notice British accents as standing out, but they did stand out here in comparison to all the American accents. It was quite strange.

Fuli playing in the snow was adorable, and just like a real cat!

I really wish they wouldn't spam catchphrases when they aren't relevant. I'd love to hear more general Swahili words and phrases, Dora the Explorer style, and less of the same catchphrases over and over.

I really liked the colour palette when the Guard returned home to Simba at dusk. It was really nice.

Wow, some people are really overly critical of this episode just cause of some potty-humour. xD

I do agree that the humour was from the juvenile end in this episode, especially at the start. And no, I'm not a fan of it, either. But I thought the story was actually a pretty good one, and different from the usual hyena stuff. We got to see new characters as well as more of Simba. Seeing a new location with snow in The Lion King universe is nice, and the characters were cute playing in it during the song (Fuli, especially :D). I found the background music in this episode especially nice. And it's also good to see the animation slowly improving. I think this episode had the best animation so far. The fighting scene between Kion and the hog is a good example. Not to mention we actually saw a proper punch thrown! :P I hope they keep improving in the same direction.

In my opinion, not a bad episode at all. The humour was definitely the weakest part, but once you get past that, it's still an overall fun one.

As far as the snowball surviving, it's evening by the time they get back home, so it's probably a slightly colder temperature. So if they got back home fast enough, there's still a chance the snowball might've at least partially survived. And it's just a silly gag in a cartoon, so who cares whether it's completely realistic or not, anyway. xD

I liked this episode for several reasons mentioned. The Lion Guard Playing in the snow, Kion being acknowledged as a Prince (and how he feels about his duties as such. I loved the line about not wanting to let his Dad down. That speaks volumes about how much Simba's approval means to Kion), and the implication that that there could have been some hostility between Simba's Pride and King Sokwe's Troop.

As for Kion's ability to subdue opponents that he should not be able to. I am willing to overlook this because of my FAN THEORY That the Mark of The Lion Guard gives the members of The Guard a boost of strength, when they need it. END OF FAN THEORY That is why I doesn't bother me when Kion does something he should not be able to.

To be honest in the original Kimba The White Lion Series, Kimba (Who was also a cub) fought and defeated animals the he should have had no chance against. (such as Rhinos and Elephants) No real explanation was given for this unless one looks deeper into the information given in the episode Journey Into Time. In that episode it is revealed that one of Kimba's ancestors in ancient Egypt was given a potion that enhanced his intelligence. One could assume that said potion also enhanced his strength. However that is never stated in any way. As a viewer I just went with it.

I feel The Lion Guard makes more of an effort to be realistic that Kimba The white Lion did. Also Kimba The White Lion was targeted at a more of a general kids audince rather than to preschoolers like The Lion Guard.
