Stay at home moms are the unsung heroes of our society. Stay at home dads, too. A lot of people stereotype stay at home parents as lazy people who eat candy and watch soap operas all day. That couldn't be further from the truth. I've never been a parent or done much to help raise a baby, and even I can see the massive amount of work it takes.

^ As a working parent though, you have to do all of that stuff and work a job. Which, as a part-time father figure and part-time worker, I can confirm is much harder than either thing is on its own. Full-time parents/workers must have their hands very full.

Oh and I'm whining about the cold. Or working two holidays this week. Or one of the other various and sundry more permanent problems lurking around here that I like to moan about.

^Oh yeah, I agree. I think I read Shadowfax's post wrong, lol. Needless to say, being a parent or helping take care of a small kid is a very rough job, whether working or staying at home. I wouldn't have the energy for any of it, so I have mad respect for parents and guardians.
