People wonder why roughly half of the US population didn't vote.

I wonder why we hold our elections on friggin Tuesday, why our electoral college is set up in such a way that people feel like their vote won't make a difference (a Republican voting in California, for instance), and why we allow voter suppression to run so rampant.
