Again, with the bracelets...with all the money you've already spent, you could've bought one, but, noooo. In your mind, "they must be gifts".

God... I can't imagine how awful it must feel to worry so much about medical bills and whether the scrap of Obamacare could kill me or someone I know. :/ I've been treated for free after my leg got so injured and I'm unemployed, jesus... My heart goes out to people having to face that issue. :/

Same. And my heart also goes out to those whose insurance companies screwed them over because of having to make massive cutbacks as a result of Obamacare.

We are in such, such desperate need of a healthcare system that is available to everyone without leaving massive holes in their pockets. The requirement to have a job in order to get insurance before Obamacare was really messed up. Insurance companies skyrocketing their premiums and no longer covering 100% for people who already had insurance once Obamacare took effect was really messed up.

I don't know what exactly should be done but man, there just has to be something better than this.

This. I honestly don't know a lot about it, but enough to know that the whole "pay to get medical aid" really...well, sets me off, in some way. It's just so bad to see people panicking about medical bills or having to refuse some type of necessary procedure, because they're unable to pay for it.

I had a surgery done last year, spent 3 days in the hospital and didn't pay a penny for it. It's frustrating to know that not everyone is as lucky.

Yet, I see people in my country complain of things such as (emergency) doctor appointments being around 10€-20€ each and things such as vaccines or so not being exactly free. I do believe healthcare should be free, but I don't think people understand how lucky we are for paying such low values in whatever we do pay. :dissatisfied:

This! I know a few people in the states that have the same condition as I do and now and again they struggle to buy all the treatment they need. But now with Obamacare being scrapped I do worry about them :(.

I'm not too sure how the health system works over in the states but I'm so grateful for the free health care here....otherwise I'd be struggling. I mean I was rushed to hospital in Florida last year with C.Diff, Colitis and Septis. If I didn't have insurance then boy oh boy....I'd be bankrupt and on the streets. I've no idea how some people afford it :/.

^Same here. With the amount of treatments and doctor visits I've had since birth, my family would probably be swimming in bills, if we lived in the US. :/
