1) Trump did NOT win the popular vote. America DID pick Hillary by a slim margin. However, Trump won the Electoral College. Which, as an American, I find it pretty dumb that this can (and obviously has) forced us to have a president the majority didn't want.

2) Only a vocal minority of Trump supporters are bigots. I agree that it's an alarming and ugly minority, but it's still a minority nonetheless. While Trump has said horrible things, there was also some appealing stuff in his platform. Stuff that, should he pull it off, would create more jobs for Americans. I think a lot of his supporters don't agree with the hate he spews, and know his bigger promises (such as the stupid wall) are unlikely to happen. But his smaller promises just might, and they're appealing. The other set of supporters like him simply for the fact that he is a wild card. He's not the usual career politician we're used to, and after the failure of things like Reaganomics and a lot of stagnation, people want someone who will shake the system up. Keep in mind, most of his supporters are of the older crowd who have been around long enough to experience such failures.

3) While Trump spews a whole lot of problematic things, Hillary isn't much better. She has done some very bad things in the past. I encourage everyone, especially those outside the US, to familiarize yourselves with Hillary's shady history. I still think she was the better choice despite this, but when you're trying to choose the "lesser of two evils" it definitely doesn't make it any easier.

4) Vladimir Putin has a history with Hillary, and it ain't a good one. With Hillary wanting to bomb Syria which would probably provoke a war, it's possible we dodged a pretty major bullet here. I know it sounds crazy, but who knows, Trump may end up as better in the long run because of this. It all depends on how things go.

Thank you for finding the right words to express most of my thoughts. :highfive:

I will say that this election has left me severely disappointed in both parties.

The Republican party, for not giving me someone better than Hillary. I've gotten into very ugly arguments with my mother over politics, so I fear more nasty arguing may erupt if I don't vote Republican (and it's pretty much impossible to hide my vote when the candidate you support sends you stuff in the mail). You had informed and tactful people that, while I probably would have disagreed with them and may not have truly supported them, I could still have voted for them and not felt too bad about it. Heck, I would've probably even gone for more Bush dynasty. But no, you all just had to pick the worst one of the bunch, the one who I couldn't in good conscience vote for.

The Democratic party, for completely underhanded practices. Not only did the media refuse to give Bernie Sanders attention, tons and tons of Californian votes got lost. I'm not sure they were ever recovered, no doubt lost because Hillary and her cronies knew Bernie was going to win the primaries here. You shoved Hillary onto us when most of us chose Bernie fair and square. Which resulted in a whole lot of Democrats either voting Trump out of spite, or voting third-party out of spite or due to the fact that Hillary was not a good candidate. It's no wonder Trump gained support when the Democrats were pulling crap like this. It's no wonder people are sick of corrupt politicians when we were given such an example of one here. It wouldn't surprise me if this is the reason why Trump won the electoral college. I can see elected officials being fed up with Hillary after a stunt like this.

I don't want to go to work tomorrow. I seriously just want to quit that job. I guess I will, if I actually get a babysitting job. I signed up on a site for it, but there aren't many options right now. Hopefully some open up soon, so that I can quit this horrible job. :/

I wonder if I could do that one. Although it says when I look down to the "Submit Application" button, it says that I acknowledge that I'm available for the times requested. Only problem is I can't work on Fridays. I could say I could/would make up for it by doing Sundays as well, but... I don't know. :/
