On one hand, with the republicans in control of all three branches of government now, we're basically screwed.

On the other hand, there's something almost satisfying about being correct in my predictions, even if I don't like them. I told you. I told you. I told you so. Time and time again, I said Hillary Clinton couldn't beat Trump. No one believed me, but look where we are now. If this is anyone's fault, it's the fault of the democrats for intentionally sabotaging their own primary to put forth a weak-as-s*** candidate.

This whole process has made me hate the state of politics in this country even more. And the fact that Trump is the one who's winning is only make me feel even sadder. I didn't like Clinton at all, but Trump causes such a visceral reaction in me.

This. Anyone, literally ANYONE, could have run against Trump and won the election. Was it really so important to the Democratic elites that an unpopular insider be the nominee rather than plain old Bernie? In a Bernie vs. Trump race, Bernie would have won by a landslide. Instead, we are stuck with an orange oompa loompa for the next 4 years and a very disgruntled populace. Congratulations DNC, you f**ked us all.

Not only did Trump win, but the Republicans also now control the Senate and the House.... seriously? I don't necessarily hate the Republican party, but no one should have free reign to do whatever you want.
