I remember having this conversation with my cousin once, where he tried to use my fondness for TLK to get a laugh:
Nick: Do you know Simba and Nala are cousins?
Me: No, they're not.
Nick: You're right, they're siblings, that's so much better.
Me: Wrong again.
Nick: But lions mate with all the lionesses in a pride and get a [censored] of cubs, right?
Me: Yeah?
Nick: Well, you have two lions and a lot of lionesses in the Lion King. Either Scar or Mufasa MUST be Nala's Dad.
Me: No, there's other males, we just don't see them.
Nick: And you know that how, exactly?
Me: Because incest is disgusting and the filmmakers would have a hell of a lawsuit on their hands if it weren't.
Nick: So why don't we see them?
Me: It's called plot reasons, genius. Mufasa is a strong lion, but Scar is made out to be weak(er). If there were any other males living in the pride in the film, even if they were not as strong as Mufasa, Scar would be screwed and not seem like a believable villain because the other males would team up on him.
Nick: You're no fun anymore...
