I think there's a possibility of kion and Vitani together....But to tell you the truth I rather them not be together. It just seems, I dunno. They're okay now that I think about it. Funny you say that, I actually love how Kion and Fuli work together! Even if they are different species. I think they make the most sense in my opinion.

I really doubt TLG will address any ship issues because it is aimed at a younger audience. Personally, I am a Fuli and Kion fan. Who really cares about different species? I ship Nick and Judy from Zootopia, but that's a whole different can of worms. Anyway, I am interested to see how this plays out. I still don't like Zira's new voice, not evil enough, but I'll live.

Yes, Jason Marsden played Adult Kovu in Lion King 2 and he will be voicing Kovu in The Lion Guard. Being that Jason Marsden voiced Young Shere Khan in Jungle Cubs I'm sure he will use that type of voice for young Kovu. Basically what I think we will get is a young Kovu that sounds like his voice is starting to change to the voice he will have as an adult.

That is what I think is the most likely scenario. Although The Female Hippos did give Beshte that cat call whistle in The Rise of Makuu (If I am right). I don't expect any actual romance on the show. What I am hoping for is acknowledgement of a crush or the hint that a crush could at some point develop.

Ever since I found out that The Lion Guard was set within Lion King 2 I have liked the idea of Kion And Vitani as a couple. Largely because I liked the idea of Kopa And Vitani before Kion existed. I also think that their (Kion And Vitani's) personalities match well.

I was never big on the Kion And Fuli as a couple, due to them being different species, and the fact that the show was trying to be somewhat educational. However since seeing the show and getting to know and like Fuli (as I assumed I would). My opinion on them as a couple has changed from: That would deify The Circle of Life. To well they are both cats. I personally think Disney will not pair Kion And Fuli, but I can easily see why so many people are in favor of them. They do have interesting chemistry.

As has been already suggested by Hatari05, I could see Zira trying to use Vitani against Kion in a very similar way to how she plans to use Kovu against Kiara. To Zira it would be like hedging her bet. Although I don't think Kion would be as susceptible to Zira's manipulations (Even if said manipulations are through Vitani) as some may think. Due to Kion's fear of becoming like Scar, he will keep his guard up.

Now if Vitani does try to get closer to Kion (whether by her choice or by Zira's command) it will be particularly interesting to see what Fuli and possibly Jasiri as well do to keep Kion safe.

Complete side-thought: I wonder if we're ever going to get a "My Lullaby" reference, at least in the score. While we're on music, do you think we might actually get a new villain song in the vein of "My Lullaby" and "Be Prepared" as far as musical intensity goes, at any point throughout the series' run? "Tonight We Strike" and the other 'scary' songs so far have been a bit on the lighter side in part because of the characters singing them -- and The Lion Guard still being more 'kid friendly' than other franchise material -- but with Zira there is at least an opportunity for something interesting, maybe when she and Kion have their one-on-one talk. Again, I'm not talking about lyrics (which I'd imagine would be more like a much more sinister version of "We'll Make You a Meal") but actual scoring. Christopher Willis has been doing a great job on that and though his soundtrack outside of "Call of the Guard" will probably never be available for this show (which I internally cry for) and he hasn't had too many opportunities yet, I've noticed that he does manage to slip in slight references to previous score material when he can, most notably the theme from "This Land"/"Lea Halalela".
