Hurricane Matthew might become a category 5 hurricane ... that sounds horrifying...

Naaah, I think it's weakening now. It's a category 4, but it doesn't have much more room to grow at all.

Well he did reach Katrina strength already at one point in his life before he got close to Jamaica (if I remember correctly is where it happened in the eastern Caribbean). But yeah, I also don't expect him to keep his major hurricane status anymore now that he's interacting with Florida right now and going up the coast from there.

I would also suspect it'll encounter upper-level wind shear in the troposphere from the subtropical jet stream as it moves up the Carolinas now that the fall pattern is setting up for the southern/eastern part of the country. So that'll also kill it with time. Even if it goes out back into the Atlantic and meanders not too far from the coastline like they're forecasting now.

Oh wow, I opened commissions for reference sheets a long time ago, only one person asked for one. I posted the final result today and I'm already getting messages about making them one FOR DAMN FREE.
