Actually, Christmas is a public holiday in Tanzania, where the Serengeti is (and The Lion King universe is set), so it might make sense (maybe) for a Christmas-like holiday to occur. I doubt they're going to force religion into a preschool show, but eh.
they had christmas in dora the explorer and sesame street. and some other preschool shows. so it wouldnt be any diferent with the lion guard.

All kid shows have some kind of christmas special. Even Watership Down had one.

^ Lol yes! Frithmass . And wasn't Dawn French one of the rabbits that was in that episode? Heh.

Anyway I think it would be nice if they did have like a special event/day in TLK.

Christmas was the first thing Kupatana brought to mind for me. I agree with GPK in that it's very Christmas-like. The families gathering, the carols, etc. For that reason, I'm a bit doubtful they'd try another pseudo-Christmas. Though perhaps it could work if they did something like a gift-giving day.

For Halloween, you don't even necessarily need a holiday. You could just do something creepy, like the Guard has to go into this big cave and there are bats (Ono's fear of such comes into play) and spiders and whatnot. I guess if they wanted to go the holiday route, though, maybe center on Rafiki and other mandrills (a glimpse into Rafiki's family would be welcome) and they make and decorate spooky masks. Masks play a pretty big part in African religions and lore, so there's presumably plenty to work with there.

Yup, "Beware the Zimwi" is the title of halloween episode. It's going to feature Mtoto again along with baby rhino and a female hyrax.
