Will I ever not cry when I think back on what he said to me? Probably not. I just hope I don't cry too much this weekend.

I still think Ivete Sangalo should've sung on the Olympics opening ceremony. She would've made that Carnaval scene ("País Tropical") even better, without doubts. :? I absolutely love Carnaval and, IMO, Portugal is one of the countries that best relates to the Brazilian carnival, especially in terms of music...they're the exact same ones. I couldn't stop jumping around when I recognized the song!

Well....no offence Brazil but I think our opening was better. But I love the idea that everyone competing gets a seed to plant. Great idea!

And some of these countries....I couldn't locate them on the world map to save my life :kionoops:. I feel so uncultured .

^I completely agree. In my opinion, the best part of the whole opening was that Carnaval scene, with the colourful costumes and dancing. The rest seemed a bit...well, dull. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. :? So far, my favourite opening was the Beijing one, actually. :dreamy:

During the delegations parade, I spent a lot of time searching up names of countries on Wiki, honestly. Mostly just to check their location on the map.
