I knew that's what he had meant when he said he wanted to talk after work. I was fully prepared. It still hurts though, especially hearing him say it in person. I'm actually glad now that I told him I like him over text, because if I did it in person... *shudders* I don't even want to think about that. What I didn't realize was that it wasn't just the kids who were noticing; he noticed, too. But the question I have now is: What do they notice? What do I do differently now than what I did two weeks ago when I told him? I have no idea, so now I just have to avoid him at all costs. Now, if I even look in his direction, I quickly look away and criticize myself for even looking there. If he's in a room that I'm in, I'm going to try leaving that room. Maybe even avoid the staff room when he's in there if that's what it takes. I just don't want to make things more uncomfortable for him, and obviously what I'm doing right now is, so... whatever.

Life would be much easier if I didn't find any people attractive. While doing so is a good sign, as it means I'm much closer to being over my ex, it also puts me in an awkward position when I have to see and sometimes talk to said person somewhat regularly. What a hassle.

There's about a million reasons why I need to just not even remotely be interested in anyone irl right now, especially not someone at my job. And that's why I'll just keep it to myself until it passes.

It could be nice if that were not so, but it is what it is. I'm better on my own anyway. I have video games and books, after all, what more could I need?

The Portuguese wore blazers and jeans to the Olympics opening ceremony and people on Twitter are now saying Portugal "should be banned for disrespect towards the Olympics". Well, sorry to say, but they're there to do their best in sports, not to be part of a fashion show. Plus, I think they looked cool...

Oh. So not only have I made things uncomfortable for him, but I am also making him not do his job properly. Even better! *headdesk* Okay. I am seriously reconsidering going to the new area for work in the fall, because if he does go there (which he's pretty sure he will), and I go there, things will be even more awkward for us. And he might think I'm just following him around again when I'm not. I guess I'll just have to see how it goes.... I wonder, though: would it be this awkward if I never told him? Would he have noticed then, too?
